LisaRaye's 40th birthday weekend bash!

Awwww!

Lisa and her man are wide eyed and kinda stiff for this one.
You know what...don't say anything. She just aint the type to dress up unless she has to, like for her sister's wedding (she put on a niiiiice dress!) last year. And...that's HER style. The FABulous ones having fun!
Dang Tisha really is high yellow...ok ok.
Teena Marie...and her daughter. Um wow. But ok.
Oh Jalisa! Dawn Lewis still knows hot to turn up the heat. It looks like LisaRaye had REAL people come to her party. It wasn't some Hollywoody fake folks shingdig...that's tight.
Cute as ever!

The black celebrity and entertainment news website, EURweb.com got to attend (their story will follow below) a wonderful Los Angeles birthday party for beautiful and sassy LisaRaye who turned 40! I can't believe she is 40...she is so dang cute! I think J is right, "30's the new 20" and if that's the case then 40 is the new 30 because women in their 40's and 50's are looking younger and younger these days. Fierceeeeeeeeeeeeee....!!!!
News from EURweb.com
EUR was in the house at the exclusive Beverly Hills Hotel 40th birthday party for actress and Turks and Caicos First Lady, LisaRaye McCoy-Misick. A formal press release and all the hot photos from the event will be hitting the net later today or tomorrow, but we're giving you the lowdown first.

Duane Martin and Tisha Campbell Martin emceed the star-studded affair which included "old school" entertainment from Evelyn "Champagne" King and The Whispers. Both acts did not disappoint. They sang and sweated, we danced and sweated.

Let's just say this was one of those parties where, if you came to get wet from sweat, you were in the place to be. It was definitely on and popping.

After the live music portion and the Happy Birthday greetings, the DJ and hype man took over spinning serious hardcore old school funk.

Needless to say it was at that point that the beautiful birthday gal herself took over the dance floor and handled her business to the with the bad boy himself, Bobby Brown, while her husband, the honorable Michael Misick (Mr. Turks and Caicos himself) looked on with approval and appreciation. We might also add that LisaRaye is one incredible boogie woman. Daaayuum (I just had to highlight that part...it's funny the way they spelled damn...cute.) she can dance. Who knew (I did! I heard the woman can PARTY...her wedding was a party. That's how you do it gal! I mean plus she turned the big 40...hello!)?! Anyway, it wasn't long before she had the vaunted "King of Stage" completely soaked in sweat from head to toe it seemed. After about 10-15 minutes of non-stop action, Mr. Brown had to bow out. He just couldn't hang any more. Meanwhile, Miss Thang, er, First Lady was making like the Energizer bunny and kept on going and going. You know she had no shortage of dudes (Her man KNOWS she aint going nowhere...so yes he's cool) wanting to get their groove on with her (Uh...yeah...cuz she fine!). And yes, it was all tasteful and respectful. But it was definitely funky! LisaRaye is so much FUN! That's the kinda girl who is good to have as a friend.

Oh yeah, you're probably wondering who else was there. Well we can't remember everybody, but we saw the legendary Smokey Robinson, Nancy Wilson and Gamble & Huff. We also spotted Cedric The Entertainer, Teena Marie, Mo'Nique, Niecy Nash and LisaRaye's sister's DaBrat. (Wait 'til you see her outfit. That's all we'll say.) The sports world was represented by Michael Irvin and Charles Oakley. Other celebs in the house included, Christopher Williams (I haven't seen that boy in forever! He was in a play not to long ago though.), Kenya Moore, Joe Torry, Dawn Lewis, Kiki Shepherd, Kym Whitley, EUR's Lee Bailey and business mogul/casino owner Don Barden. Speaking of business, we also saw producers Jeff Clanagan and Robi Reed.

Yep, the party may have been in posh Beverly Hills, but that didn't stop damn near err'body from gettin' funked up.
End news

Dang. Sounds like fun. You know it had to be a blast with Da Brat, Mo'Nique and Cedric there. They had a true Grown Folks party. Solid.

Jagged Edge, "Baby Making Project"

The R&B heartbreakers of the decade were at the V103 studios here in Atlanta this morning. Jagged Edge, talked about their new album dropping Tuesday September 25th, “Baby Making Project”. And one of the group members is actually expecting a baby very soon!

"Baby Making Project" is exactly what the title precludes to...11 love songs that are designed to create a special mood between you and that chosen man or woman. There's so much love and sensuality on the album that oops...you might get caught up and make a baby!

One of the songs on the new album is called, “The Whole Town’s Laughing at Me”, a classic moan about a cheating man who knows he was wrong and wants a second chance. The singer feels like the whole town is laughing at him for letting such a good thing go. It does have a very good sound, and I liked the beat as well as the lyrics but it's nothing original.
Another track that is probably going to be a favorite is, “Come Get This”, a sexy get close for some lovin' type of bedroom romp with a taste of i really need you near me. I wasn't as fond of this one but give it time and it may grow on me. Still because I know Atlanta and other JE fans, it will sell and be well received by most of the public when it hits the airwaves.

To see a list of the new songs and get a little listen click here...

The guys were fun, friendly and full of energy this morning in the studio. I hope their first week sales match their spirits. We have graduated to an industry where R&B seems to be smothering from the shadow of Rap. So those love songs singers need to work extra hard to market and step their game up to get more radio play and respect. Making good quality music is not enough. Having a guest rappers on a few songs can lend an ear to listeners who think of music differently today. Hip Hop has changed and that change has changed about 70% of the game. The good news is JE should do well enough off of their true loyal fan base alone. But the gents do have to split those profits 4 ways. It's not so easy being a group these days. I understand why so many bands go solo. But I do hope that JE stays intact...they have a magic and a type of reliable, familiar, old skool flava to them. Old skool with a little bit of fresh mixed in.
Anyway go out and support your the singers/songwriters and buy the album tomorrow. They need to get back on the map. Oh and FYI they have another album dropping as early as May 2008 (untitled as of now) ! These lovers are putting in work! I love to see the grind.

George Clooney and friend (Sarah Larson) injured in crash!

George Clooney walks past photographers with Sarah Larson in New York, New York, in this Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007 file photo.

AP Entertainment News
Clooney suffered a broken rib and scrapes while his passenger, Sarah Larson, broke her foot in the Friday 3:30 p.m. collision. The two were treated at Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen and released, Clooney's spokesman, Stan Rosenfield, said.

"He's doing fine," Rosenfield said. "He has a broken rib, it's very painful and it'll take a long time to heal."
Clooney and Larson were traveling north and sped up to pass on the right of a 1999 Mazda Millenia that was preparing to make a right turn (the car and the motorcycle collided), said Weehawken police Sgt. Sean Kelly. Both were wearing helmets.

It wasn't known whether the Mazda's driver, whose identity was not immediately released, used a turn signal, Kelly said. The accident was under investigation.

"It's a he-said, she-said right now, but you can't pass on the right in Weehawken or anywhere in Jersey," Kelly said.

Anything can happen at anytime! I'm glad that they made it alive and recovering.

Jena 6, kids treated like villians

Jena 6 Rally

By now the entire country knows about Jena 6 (Louisiana) and many have exploded with heart felt anger, sadness and even action. This small town has come alive and been put on the map with the known onset of ill treatment and controversy in regards to racial inequality. Louisiana seems to been in the news for the past few years in regards to racial discrimination's...I'm thinking of Hurricane Katrina.
I've included a link to a website that gives information into the case and also has an add your voice petition that you can submit. The sad thing is that this has been going on for a long time but has just recently hit the awareness of the world.

Kids get in a fight due to loud racial ignorance (that was known about and continuously ignored and allowed!) and the black kids get sent to prison. These kids are not animals. There is a problem.

Snoop pleads guilty

Snoops Court Day- Picture from people.com

After initially pleading not guilty (he said the gun was a film prop), the Cali rapper pleaded guilty to felony possession of a deadly weapon in an Orange County, California court last Thursday. The sentence: three years probation and 160 hours of community service.

He also agreed to make a $10,000 donation to Right Trak, an Orange County anti-gang program. Good stuff.

Snoop's (Calvin Broadus) lawyer, Donald Etra told People Magazine, "Snoop wants to make music, not make court appearances. Community service beats state prison any day." Luck or blessings must be on the 35 year old "gangsta's" side because earlier this year in April he slid by a prison sentence for gun possession by a felon and sale or transportation of marijuana, by a hair. Hmmm...I wonder what is it with those Libra boys...always seeming to be caught in troubles....

My personal sentence for Snoop: No more type of involvement or affiliation with the Girls Gone Wild series or people, period. Joe Francis is NOT your friend Snoop. Focus on music and family. Trill...

Well Houston cable viewers will not see the television ad due to the feeling that the nudity is too racy for the airwaves however Dallas residents will! Other people interested in PETA can always log onto the website to see what was missed or to get other information. Log onto http://www.peta.org/. Aww hell I included a clip of the actual video down below yall. So go on and watch it. Warning they do show butt crack in this video...besides that it's harmless. Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds plan their "casual" wedding

In an age of do it big Hollywood shindig weddings, Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds let reporters know on Wednesday night that they are not into all the bells and whistles. "We want to make it fun and casual – small. That is straight from the mouth of the 40 old graceful bride to be Tracey Edmonds, former wife of musical writing giant and producer Babyface Edmonds. Eddie's divorce was final April 2006 to ex-wife Nicole Mitchell. The "Norbit" headliner is also a recent new dad, fathering a child with previous girlfriend, Mel B from the Spice Girls.
The love birds just announced their engagement at the end this past July after dating for 10 months. I guess when you know, you know. And when you are mature, you are mature.

The couple was seen at the Los Angeles premier of "Good Luck Chuck" (a comedy starring Jessica Alba) where they kindly told media bits and pieces of their wedding without letting the intimate details out of the bag; the couple was careful not reveal a date that the ceremony would take place. Most likely because they explained that they'd like the affair to be more on the private side instead of a spectacle. Edmonds did share that the date was getting closer and closer and there was still lots of work to be done. The duo informed listeners that the wedding planning was being shared by both bride and groom. "It's back and forth." The 46 year old Oscar winning star Murphy declared while backing up his svelte fiance while speaking about all the details involved.

The two openly spoke about a film project that they were in cohorts together. Edmonds the producer, Eddie the actor, and Chris Tucker a co-star. Of course it's a comedy. No stretch for the funny man. But they actually have two comedies in the work.

Apparently the couple that plays together can also benefit from working together.

Justin on Oprah, "I'm dating someone" Ding!

Jus and Jess...hanging out and looking chummy! Yeah they are together.

Kissing couple: Maybe I should have included them in my couples post yesterday. No not yet...too new.

People.com source
Typically ever-mindful of his words, Justin Timberlake is finally saying something about his romantic life – and of girlfriends past and present. "I'm dating someone," the "SexyBack" singer, who has spent most of this year being linked to Jessica Biel, tells Oprah Winfrey on Wednesday's edition of her talk show. And while he never gets around to naming his squeeze, according to excerpts from the interview appearing on the show's Web site, Timberlake, 26, is quoted as saying, "But all I can tell you is she smells lovely."

Timberlake also admits, "I get pretty romantic around her," and says he sings to her – and, when he goes on tour, communicates with her via an iChat webcam. "Technology is a wonderful thing sometimes," he says. "I find that to be really cool, when you can actually see someone's face. I do it with my friends, as well, just to have a conversation back and forth. It just makes you feel closer, that's all."

Timberlake and Biel, 25, were first linked at a Golden Globe afterparty in January, and in May a source close to the singer told PEOPLE: "Justin's in love. He wants to be with her all the time. He's ready to be serious." Last week, after his jam-packed Sunday night, the multiple MTV Video Music Award winner skipped the afterparties and opted for dinner with his two favorite ladies: his mom and Biel.

At the outset of his career, in the mid-1990s, Timberlake was famously dating his The New Mickey Mouse Club costar, Britney Spears, though they were to split in 2002. Since then, Spears's rocky road, both personally and professionally, has been well documented.

"What do you think is going on with Britney?" Winfrey asks Timberlake. "I don't know, to be honest with you," he responds. "I haven't spoken to her in years. I mean, there's no ill will – I have nothing but love for her. It's funny because we dated each other at a time ... wow, I haven't talked about this in a long time. It's interesting." Pressed by Winfrey to get what he has to say off his chest, Timberlake goes on to say, "We were teenagers, you know?" "Yes," Winfrey affirms, "famous teenagers." "I think that's basically the best way to describe what happened to us. I think she's a great person, and I don't know her as well as I did," he says. "What I do know about her is she has a huge heart, and she is a great person."

Good save JT. Don't say too much about Brit, not even to O.

HAHAAA! Kanye West PUMLES 50 Cent in 1st week ablum sales!

Kanye performs at GQ Magazine's 50th anniversary party in New York last night (9.18.07)

Rich Boyz: Diddy, Reid, West, and Jay

Kanye and Fiance Alexis Phifer

Award show face off
106 and Park appearance

Kanye's 957,000 to 50's 691,000
I started off with my maniacal, "HAHAAA!" only because 50 Cent earlier stated in his rash arrogance that if Kanye outsold him in album sales (both rappers albums dropped 9/11/007) that he would retire as a solo artist. Now hear me, I actually like 50. And the bullet head may have been joking in his statement but I say it's best to keep thy mouth shut and not say such silly things in over confidence lest that dummy be shut up by the facts that will later embarrass. 50 told the media that he didn't even consider West to be any type of competition. Kanye (not known for keeping quiet, hello 2007 MTV VMA's and other explosion events!) wisely & strangely kept his mouth shut about the competition on a larger scale. Hmmmm.

So does 50 quit?!! Hellz no! We know he's not a quitter. If he does step down I'd truly be shocked and angry. He'd only do it for attention and to create publicity then he'd later have some fanatic "come back" where he'd top the charts with his club hits all over again...maybe the next time with something more deep in lyrics. Not necessarily a bad idea. In this industry you have to stay fresh to be on top and being a publicity hog is a business. But that is all just a what-if. In the middle of the week (last week) when Chicago's Kanye was already beating his competition by over 100,00 albums, New York's own 50 said, "It aint over yet". Well unlike the Presidential election ballads, these numbers won't be crossed. The people spoke, they prefer the insightful musings of Kanye over the club poppers of 50. Bam!

Truly 50 doesn't have anything to be shamed of because his album did sell very well. He did not match his sales of previous more successful albums (his last album, 2005's "The Massacre," sold 1.1 million in its first week) in the first week however he has nothing to be too saddened about...except his big mouth that is. Well upon another look maybe he does. That mouth can get you into trouble. But hey isn't that the part-time job of some rappers anyway...to pump themselves up and talk mad junk on the competition. It's a lyrics game, many players and this week one big winner; other big mouth Kanye West. But Kanye is so endearing and honest in his need for approval in some weird I don't give a Fu** yet please like my music kind (sometimes he's so prideful, sometimes he's so humble) of way that you gotta love him!
AP Entertainment source
"To be a champion, you've got to take out a champion," West declared Tuesday night, as an all-star crowd including Jay-Z (J better be there! Kanye actually has a song on his new album dedicated to his gratitude of the Hip Hop Entrepreneur. Wow!), Beyonce and Diddy cheered him on. Moments later, he called for his "theme music," then launched into a performance of his song "Good Life."

Things couldn't be much better for West, who gave the struggling music industry its best debut of the year with "Graduation," besting the year's previous first-week champ, Linkin Park, which sold 623,000 of "Minutes to Midnight" when it debuted in May.

"It feels overwhelming," West told The Associated Press earlier in the day. "Everyone is coming up to me and telling me how proud they are of me." (love this guy...so grateful and he didn't even have those recent tantrums for publicity I don't think. He speaks always from the heart.)

Fifty, who is planning a world tour for his album, was conciliatory in defeat. In a statement to the AP, which didn't address whether he planned to make good on his vow to retire, he said: "I am very excited to have participated in one of the biggest album release weeks in the last two years. Collectively, we have sold hundreds of thousands of units in our debut week. This marks a great moment for hip-hop music, one that will go down in history."
"With all the negativity that the press tries to put on me, this perception that they try to create of me being a really bad person — for so many fans to go out and say, 'We still want to buy Kanye's album,' means a lot to me," he said. "This is a really pivotal moment for me emotionally." Kanye shared. Awwww. Tear drop.
End source

Final week one figures (again in case you missed it or choked):
Kanye West: Graduation =957,000 copies (actually the first album to come close to selling as many as 50's 2005 "The Massacre" in 1st week sales)
50 Cent: Curtis =691,000 copies

I end with wise words from the president of Rap himself...young (getting old) HOV:
Jay-Z, who is featured on a new 50 Cent remix of his hit "I Get Money," said this setback could actually benefit 50 in the long run.
"The worst thing about success is it makes you complacent. I think when you face any type of adversity it makes you dig deep ... everyone goes through it, all the greats go through it," he said. "In his music, he hadn't gone through any type of adversity. ... he'll come back and make great music."

Heineken's Red Star Soul Concert, featuring Common: A Tuesday Night Affair

Common in 2007's Red Star Soul L.A. concert event
Upon the year Heineken does a Red Star Soul Concert series in several cities for the end of summer/fall seasons. This concert presents neo soul type musicians along with awards. The Heineken Independent Achievers Award is presented at this invite only event, which recognizes individuals who exemplify the virtues of integrity, drive and achievement and who are making a positive impact in their community. This year's recipients were chosen to receive the award by a handpicked selection committee of industry leaders. Recipients of the Heineken Independent Achiever Award will accept their honor in the eight host cities of Heineken Red Star Soul concerts: Los Angeles, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and New York City. The Los Angeles event was held at Boulevard3 with performances by Common, Raheem DeVaughn and DJ Jazzy Jeff amongst others.

I got a chance to attend the concert in Atlanta last night held at Opera (the old Club 1150 on Peachtree St. and Crescent Blvd.). Opera is a spectacular venue with magnificent lights, chandeliers, gaudy decorations and a large yet intimate stage for performances. Back when it was Club 1150 I had a chance to see Big Boi, Sleepy Brown, Janelle Mone (total black rock diva signed to Purple Ribbon), Silk (remember them? "Freak Me"), Khao (Rapper/killa Producer) & others grace the stage on different nights.

The headline act for the night was Common with DJ Jazzy Jeff spinning on the one's and two's front and center. Common just released his latest album August this summer, Finding Forever. I LOVE Common dearly because he's real, he's true soul, he represents real music, he doesn't embarrass women in his songs and OMG he's sooooo fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine...one mo gin...fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine MMMMM! Wooo...anyway before Common performed several other smaller acts paved the way as a gateway to introducing themselves bigger onto the scene while preparing the platform for our man of the night! Opera then clubed it up a bit with hits from the 80's and 90's featuring Prince and Micheal Jackson along with some other hot old school hits. The bustling crowd went wild. Yes it did bustle bcz two dumb dudes almost had a fight. By the time the bald light skinned Adonis came and blessed us with his presence we were all tense with a burdening anticipation. And he did not disappoint...Common did his thang! He moved across that stage with an unbridled energy and rapped like the master of his craft only could giving us samples of such tunes as: Benitta Applebom, Love of my life , Testify and Go, etc. I really wanted him to perform Come Close (my fave!) but they at least played the remix version on V103 earlier that day while Common Sense visited the radio station during his sit down and promo with radio personality Ryan Cameron. During Common's stage romp he graciously gave shout outs to other rap legends in the game who give real music like: Mos Def, Jay-Z, T.I. (who actually was in the house for the concert but did not perform), Kanye West, and Talib Kweli. I agree, those are all artists that I respect tremendously. See Common my love, we even think alike!

I was saddened however that Common wasn't on stage long enough (of course), didn't perform any new tracks from his most current album (which hit number one on the charts, first time ever for the artist) and that everything was over before 11 p.m. We were told by the host, "You don't have to end the party but you have to get outta here!" Dang. The after party continued at The Underground Atlanta's Sugar Hill club.

Last year's Red Star Soul concert headliners included such talents as: Angie Stone, Lyfe Jennings, Raphael Saadiq, Amel Larrieux, Floetry, Raheem DeVaughn and Bilal.

I went to my first Heineken Red Star Soul concert by myself last year in Atlanta. The performance was held at Center Stage (the old Earthlink Live) (West Peachtree St.)Atlanta, GA on November 8th. A friend and I knew someone who worked for The top urban radio station in Atlanta v103 as an account exec so she gave us a couple of passes. I did say I went alone right...well what happened was my friend had some complications and was not able to attend so not to be defeated, alone I went. But even though I flew solo (It was like pulling teeth to get anyone to attend so last minute on a weekday night), I had a blast and met some cool people, got 2 cases of free beer which I kept giving away bcz I had to take a train back and it was heavy (can you guess which kind??) and was so close to the stage that I could feel the sweet sweat of Raheem DeVaughn mist upon my brow as I sat like a goo goo groupie (so ashamed) and listened to him sing and gyrate across the stage. That man gave a real show damn-it!

This is who was supposed to be featured last year at the Atlanta event: Donnell Jones, Shareefa, Raheem DeVaughn, Chrisette Michele and Politicks Music industry icons Kenny Burns, Trinidad Mann and Jenine Simone will each host selected shows during Heineken Red Star Soul. Burns, a former Vice President of Roc-A-Fella Records and Co-founder of men's fashion line RyanKenny.

I can tell you that Shareefa did not show, and Mr. Donnell Jones (who is my other secret baby daddy with that wonderful voice of his) last minute canned his appearance onstage. Rumor had it that he felt very B list celebrity after Raheem DeVaughn got on stage and blew it apart. Many people left after DeVauhn's performance even though Donnell ("You know that I love you") was supposed to be the last and main act of the night. Who knows...but i was dismayed. Still I must be honest and say last years concert here in Atlanta had a better feel to it...it was just a better more intimate show overall. Opera is small enough where it does not swallow you and I still felt close enough to the stage to see Common (even though some girl tripped that I was in her way...like she owned the freaking club carpet we stood on...I told her to back off and had to pray not to step on her feet on purpose) and even had good company this time so i was not alone but nothing beats last years concert extravaganza!

Celebrity couples that just SEEM to work...we hope so at least!

Alexis and Kanye- The Lady and her Knight Couple
Kanye will stand up for his lady Guinevere (his rebuttal against actress Pam Anderson's "disrespectful" comments at the 2007 MTV VMAs) while she continues to stay by his side in a copy-cat defense mode. That's her man, and she knows that with confidence. The whole world may think he's crazy but to her it's a
"no-never mind" because at least she understands him. And for that alone he will cherish her always.
Kelis and Nas- The Hip-Hop Power Lovers and Friends Couple
Yes they shop together and love together. They are down, they are real, they are celebrities (very friendly) without acting like it. The humble yet fiery Kelis and Master lyricist Nas support each other and are in it for keeps.
Angie and Brad- The Do-Gooders Couple
This once forbidden love affair has turned into a full out love fest of two extremely attractive people who enjoy helping those who are in need. Lots of babies and lots of kisses.
Halle and Gabriel- The we are Fine the Way we are Couple
Halle Berry may have said she didn't want to ever get married again but that does not mean she is not 100% committed with her man Gabriel to make it work. Their body language is always strong. A baby is to join the lucky jackpot gene pool soon!
Beyonce and Jay-Z- The Secret Lovers with a Public Understanding Couple
This musical duo keep their relationship private and it works. They don't have to say a word for us the know that they got each others back. Very sexy, very mature, very powerful.
Christina and Jordan- The Mismatched Socks Couple
These two may be different in temperament (she's the fire and he's the ice) but they say opposites attract. They are really into each other and care deeply.
Jada and Will- The we are Still Madly in Love after Kids and this crazy Industry Couple
Even after years of marriage these two still have a passionate love affair & a fire in their eyes for one another.
Eva and Tony- The we Just got Married Couple
It's amazing how these two show their affection for each other while keeping the respect of their relationship visible to all eyes. Both are smitten and know they are blessed!

Some are married, some may be secretly married, some just don't give a damn (dear Watson) because they know that they know they are always gonna be together. This is my list of entertainment couples that I enjoy to see. Hopefully they will continue to thrive. They are all different but they all got my vote.

Am I wrong with my choices? No i aint but i figure you are free to speak-up!

Well what are your couples that work well choices?

LA Movie Premiere of, "The Kingdom"

Intimate momments. Look at that hand on that bootie...take ownership of that thang Will!
All of the beautiful people...Foxx, Piven, Pinkett-Smith & Smith on the red carpet at the LA movie premiere of,
"The Kingdom"
A VERY pregnant Garcelle Beauvias and toned as always Serena Williams were also amongst the trendy clad stars at the event. "The Kingdom" staring Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Garner is set to release this month on September 28th. The film is very explosive with bombs, tons of action and gritty film camera sequences. I'll go see it and let yall know what I think.

Babies Are Us...

OMG your girl Mary looks so sexyFIED here!
There must be a sale at Babies Are Us! Well again in baby news...I wanted to let everyone know that Mary Louise Parker adopted a baby girl from Africa. She joins fellow celebs like Angelina Jolie and Madonna who have done the same thing in recent years. And while that is very positive news and all I really just wanted a reason to post this incredibly out of the box picture (from perezhilton.com) for the actress here. Since I haven't heard the actresses' name mentioned in quite some times I figure (as does she obviously) that she could use a lil good press. Woah...I think I need to do a pic like this myDARNself!

The baby train: Next stop Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony

J.Low is carrying low...she's 12 + weeks pregnant!

According to In-Touch Weekly the dancing diva confirms she is pregnant from an ultra sound done in a New York office last week on the 12th. This will be the first baby for the Latina singer but not the first for current husband (i see them staying together) Marc Anthony. Anthony has kids from his previous marriage with former beauty pageant ex wife, Dayanara Torres.

Reports say that they have been trying to conceive for the last two years and that fertility drugs may have been used to the success of this pregnancy. I'm not sure if that part is true or not, just reporting the news.

Jenny from the block should be having her baby around the same time that Halle Berry has hers...Spring 2008!

p.s. Remember Diddy (One of Jennifer's most famous exes) wanted J.Low to have his baby at one time?..."A pretty little girl with Diddy style..." according to his verse in, "I need a girl" part 1, a couple of years ago. I wonder if he cares anymore...a little food for thought.

Unforgivable

It's his world...well he thinks it is. Welcome to the Diddy Show.

NOTE: If you subscribe to this blog via feed reader or email you may not be able to see/play this video. If troubles please log onto www.FindEntertainmentNow.com or www.FindEntertainmentNow.blogspot.com to view. Thanks!

My man Diddy loves the attention he receives from pushing the envelope a little. But when his new commercial ad for fragrance, "Unforgivable Woman" was banned from even MTV (wow that's deep, MTV plays anything...eg. The Real World) The hip hop business man went to the next best thing, myspace TV. Diddy not only gets to play his ad but has lengthened the ad from 30 and 60 second spots to a full 3 minute movie like commercial. It's beautiful imagery I must admit and model in the video, Jessica Gomez is stunning even with that aloof/bored yet smokey modelesque look on her face (Diddy probably told her, "I'm gonna make you a celebrity overnight"), but what about the rest? Is it too hot for TV? I myself love sexy ads, but raunchy I'll pass on. What do you think of this one? Has Diddy crossed the line...again?!!

I feel strongly that this movie needs to be viewed and judged by the public rather than by executives," Combs said in a statement. "Some people may be uncomfortable with the sensuality and sexual content, but it is important for them to make that decision personally."

I think Mr. Diddy was more shocked and upset to see that he didn't own the piece of MTV he thought he did. What and after all his years of the successful Making the Band series and the ratings he's brought the music station. OMG! Please note the heavy sarcasm...please.

It (the commercial) is rather uh...suggestive Didster man...kids don't need to see Gomez' perfect little bootie on camera. And since Sean "Diddy" Combs does have children it would be wise for him to take his full audience into consideration. Young ones are most affected by advertising these days and it can grow into shaping them into adulthood unfortunately in many cases. Unless more positive and real influences are reinforced into the brain the over sexualized or materialistic advertising media becomes like a sweet poison to youth. But even some forms of advertising can fall under freedom of speech. Hmmm...

You decide. Banned ad yes, banned ad no?

I got this news last week but wanted to still post it. I'm so happy for Jamie! "That boy good!"

News source from EURweb.com
On Friday, Jamie Foxx took his official place among Tinseltown’s elite with the unveiling of his star on Hollywood Blvd’s Walk of Fame.

"My grandmother's gotta be spreading her wings and flying around in heaven, just so happy," Foxx said in his acceptance speech honoring the woman who raised him in Tyler, Texas. "This is one of the most amazing days of my life."

Flanked by his daughter, Foxx received the 2,347th star on the famous boulevard, in a spot right outside of the Kodak Theater where he picked up an Oscar in 2005 for his portrayal of Ray Charles in the motion picture, “Ray.” The same year he was nominated for a best supporting actor Oscar in the Tom Cruise film "Collateral."(I'd say that's a big deal yall!!)

The ceremony came two weeks before the release of Foxx's newest film "The Kingdom." He stars with Jennifer Garner and Chris Cooper as members of a U.S. counterterrorism unit chasing after the mastermind of a bombing in Saudi Arabia.

Favortism in the NFL??!! Bill Belichick's fine verdict

Oh Bill...!

NOTE: If you subscribe to this blog via feed reader or email then you may not be able to see the above video. If troubles log onto www.FindEntertainmentNow.com or www.FindEntertianmentNow.blogspot.com. Thanks!

So Eric Mangini (former assistant under Bill Belichick) busts the spy games of New England patriots 10 year NFL coach Bill Belichick with his own top secret surveillance. Damn! During the fifth game day showdown between the two coaches the Sunday before last, the Shiiiiiiii hit the fan.

Well after presenting the incriminating evidence before Commissioner Roger Goodell the NFL "jury" has made it's decision. A fine. Bill Belichick gets a lousy $500,000 (team gets a $250,000) fine for his mishandled and unprofessional coaching efforts for the 3 peat (in 4 years) Superbowl winning NFL super star team he leads. This after a statement was made that video taping such action was not allowed. In pure defiance and mock arrogance Belichick and his crew continued to ignorantly break all the rules and do the opposite!

This raises questions:

1. Is there favoritism in the NFL between the black and white race?
2. Is there a different standard between players and coaches when it comes to rules or conduct?
3. Why is is fair for Belichick to get only a fine (yes it is very costly but the man is rich!) but Vick (Mike) and Jones (Pacman) get suspended and endless amount of bad press for their failings.
4. What in HELL did Commissioner Goodell mean when he said it is his job to "Protect the Integrity of the NFL"?? Isn't this a colossal example with Belichick of one contaminating and rudely defiling the integrity of the NFL and the games??!! What, are these two friends or something? Dang. Hello Commish!
5. Are the NE Patriots past wins (including the super bowl) truly valid?? How long has this really been going on?
6. Did all the NE players know of this foul play? Should they all be fined alike?

I see that with Vick and Jones they did something outside of the NFL and their game playing gets affected. Yes what these men were involved with was wrong and at least questionable but why does a coach, a leader who is trusted inside the game do something to directly affect the game, pay some money and then still get to coach the game without missing a beat? I know that he will have his own personal consequences to wallow in but it still seems unfair. Is his fine comparable to Vick's fine for shooting a bird into the crowd last season at booing fans when he messed up a play? I wonder what the thinking is here with this one/decesion.
