Q Parker (112) and team host a ladies' dance audition for his solo project, "Real Talk". Shawty (comedian) keeps spirits light!

Deliberating: Jamal, Q, another judge
Q & Shawty
Great dancer/instructor (Myiah)

These girls (well minus ms.pink shirt...sorry) were baaaaaaaaad! They stayed and did a second set of their own and ripped it i'm telling you!

I loooooove dancing. It inspires me. Since i was a little girl you could catch me entering dance competitions, performing on the stage for large audiences or simply in my living room thinking in my head, "I must look like Janet Jackson when I do this move!". Welllllllllll I've kinda lost some of that funk (sad face) and i'm no Janet Jackson but I met a few girls at Q Parker's dance auditions (for his tour) at Marvelous Marvin McIntyre Studios on Monday night that could hold their own next to the legendary diva any day.

Q's album, "Real Talk" will be exploding onto the scene this Summer/Fall. The singer talks about real life issues in this album that anyone can relate to. For those who wonder if Q can do it on his own without the support of his boys from 112, wonder no more, because he's got it like that. He gave me a sample of one of his news songs and his voice upon our meeting. Wait until the end of the video below to hear Q's smooth melody. This WILL be an album to buy this year!

Q was joined by choreographer Al Jamal, some other partners, and comedian Shawty (Wild N Out) who kept the room in laughter as he did his "Shawty Dance", and made jest of the dancing hopefuls. Catch him Tuesday night, May 6th at Uptown Comedy Corner for his show, "Shawty, Shawty...What my name is??!!". Shawty gave me a couple of tickets so I'll see you there! Before that catch him in the video I have here to see what kind of projects he's involved in. That boy is a nut. Mission accomplished!

Marcus McNeill (San Diego Chargers) celebrity charity weekend for Mac's Miracles

Marcus McNeill

Marcus McNeill and me
Mike is too cool in his shades & even with a hurt hand Steve shows up for his boy Marcus

Greg (AllHipHop.com founder) and Shem

Last weekend Marcus McNeil from the San Diego Chargers celebrated the 2nd year of his children's charity, Mack's Miracles, by throwing celebrity weekend party with mingling at the W hotel, bowling at Atlanta's 300, and a having a blast at Club Dreamz.

My weekend was crazy BUT i did have an opportunity to stop by the event at the posh W Hotel on Friday night to speak with Marcus, AllHipHop.com's founder, Grouchy Greg, and a few other friends and supporters in sports of Marcus. That evening Marcus was joined by fans, athletes, family, friends and hip hop and sports business moguls.

McNeil is a giant. The 23 year old did not miss out on the height department at 6 foot 9. But don't be alarmed he is also funny and truly kind & friendly. Speaking to the football player I learned that he started this organization because of his family. He told me that he would watch his nephew play video games all day and not want to go out and it concerend him. The offensive lineman wants to educate and keep kids active to fight child obesity. Mack's Miracles is kicking off a summer camp this July for the kids. Please look out for it and for more information log onto:
http://www.macksmiracles.org/

I have to say that speaking to Greg, AllHipHop.com's founder was the highlight of my night. You will never meet a more real dude who is all hip hop without being an artist himself. The guy is funny, kicked us some mad knowledge that evening, and is more honest than maybe some can stand, but I dig that. I thank him again for his time and for keeping us cracking up! I aspire to accomplish even half of what his website has done. Good look! www.AllHipHop.com

I got a chance to get marcus, Greg and some others on tape to talk about the charity and business in general. I have to apologize for the video lighting in advance. It was DARK in the W Hotel. I know the event was designed to bring the "grown n sexy" vibe, however it makes for shady media visuals. Still enjoy and learn something!

Thanks to Jennifer Marquez from Aggressive Competition Marketing Firm for the invite!
Thanks to Greg from AllHipHop.com because you were so friendly and chill. You are THAT dude.
Thanks also to Shem Young for putting this on our calendar. You are awesome girlie!

Jason Geter (Grand Hustle Homie!) Birthday Party at Lucky Food Lounge!

The hot boyz. Ow ow!

On Wednesday Jason Geter's 31st (I think) birthday party was held at Luckies Food Lounge, THE hot spot for celeb events.

Tip came out before heading home for curfew (but at least he gets to hang), Dro was showin' us all why he's, "The best thang smokin' " Keri Hilson brought the party, Hannah Kang (GM of Grand Hustle) showed up being a boss lady she is, and Fergie who is in Atlanta recording with Polow (the infamous track leaker!) hit the club up too. For more pictures and celeb guests (like Jeezy, Chingy, Rich Boy, and Mannie Fresh to name a few) in attendance check out Sandra Rose's website!

Ludacris Foundation Celebrity Charity Event at Ralph Lauren

Luda, Rahan Ali (radio's Hot 107.9 has been stepping out all over the A lately!), Ciara and Chaka
Fergie (in Atlanta recording with producer, Polow Da Don) , Luda, and Ciara (doesn't she look incredible?!!)
Chingy (niiiiiiiice), ?, Rich Boy (where you been boi?!), Richy Rich (WTH?!)

Ludacris who just opened up his new swanky restaurant, Straits in Midtown Atlanta earlier this week, held a classy wine and mingle charity event at the beautiful Lenox location of Ralph Lauren for his charity, The Ludacris Foundation. The charity's motto is, "Helping kids help themselves". It's so awesome to see Chris give his time and money to children. The festivity encouraged guests to buy items from the popular top of the line store thus giving 15% of the proceeds to the foundation.

If you receive this post via email or feed log onto www.FindEntertainmentNow.blogspot.com to view the video of Ludacris and others at the Ludacris Foundation event last night. Thanks!

I snooped out the Ralph Lauren location hours before the mini gala was held and it was quite lovely. Everyone was in the store fixing things, dusting and smiling. Once it was time for the actual event I could not stay long. I am still in school and had a dang mid-term exam! Woooh hooo for education!

Anyway enjoy the pics and video above from SOHH blogger, Gyant. Your man is always on the scene! Check out that link for more.

I'm going to have a review on Luda's new restaurant, Straits next month so watch out for that. I'm proud of ya man. He's doing me proud. :)

Is Jay-Z trippin' or just being human? (video)

If you receive this post via email or feed, please log onto www.FindEntertainmentNow.blogspot.com to view. Thanks!

Jay-Z is just strolling down the street and paps of course are following him trying to get in his business. So he ignores them for a while and then finally says a rather rude thing to one of the rather rude followers. Is this wrong? I mean with fame comes such adoration and even downright stalking that the famed may start to loathe. Doesn't it come with the territory? If there were no fans, there would be no fame and without the fame no money and without the money no career right?

But isn't there a line that is drawn? A person, famous or not should be able to walk down the street, eat a meal, have a baby, drive in traffic, shop, or have a rough day, without having their everyday simple moves taped. He may seem kinda snooty in this video to most YET I actually can understand why J feels the way he does. Who wants someone in their face ALLLLLLLLLL the time checking to see if they have a booger or trying to make them share their personal issues?! I can see asking for a picture or two but otherwise give them a break unless it's an event, concert or planned appearance. What if it were you? And despite their wild popularity due to the world's celeb obsession, TMZ is bothersome and annoying as hell (and i only got this video visiting another website...not theirs, thanks!). Goooooooooolly! This media outlet has become rich by breathing down people necks and spreading rumors and i'm not jealous cuz it is straight punkish. That is NOT the business.

Star Jones FINALLY files for divorce from Al Reynolds! But does he want half??

From Access Hollywood
Star Jones has filed for divorce from her husband, Al Reynolds, after three-and-a-half years of marriage, a rep for the former “View” co-host has confirmed to Access Hollywood.

“Several years ago I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life. A month ago I filed for divorce. The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone’s life that requires privacy with one’s thoughts. I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman,” Jones said in a statement to Access.

A source close to the former talk show host told Access the couple’s relationship has been in peril for some time, saying, “It hasn’t been an easy relationship for a while. There were all these rumors out there, all this speculation, which made it difficult for Star.”

End

The latest is yall, that Al is has hired a lawyer and is trying to convince the courts that Star made him stay home so he can be at her beck and call so he quit his stockbroker job (Oh helllllllllll nawl!). Now he's a professor at the U of Florida. I gotta say...ewwwww. I mean what's happened to some men these days?? This Al guy is a true joke. Now I know half the world is speculating his gayness and almost no one believed that the marriage would last. I for one will not say yes he is gay or no and really hoped that the marriage could work if there was love there. But this new messy ish has made my stomach turn. Have some decency boy! This is as as bad as Nick Lachey asking for money from Jessica Simpson and Jonathan Plummer the ex of Terry McMillan wanting financial support. Get a job dude! Damn. Respect thyself. Seriously. Okay let me stop and leave before I...

AG Entertainment & Konvict Muzik Present- BU's birthday celebration at the Compound this Thursday night!

For some this is another reason to party on a Thursday. I have a final, and another event before that so I won't be there. But if ya wanted something to do, here you go and have fun. I know girls like to be around those men in the game with cash. I could care less and infact would stray far from such types but hell that's just where i stand. The Compound needs to brush up on their security by the way since less than a week ago (at the hip hop fashion show with Ashanti, Ray-J, who was accompanied by Whitney Houston...hmmm...eehehee, and Mario) there was a shooting of a young man. But I'm sure they are on it since the horrible event.

We are the Ones Song by Will.i.am for Barack Obama (video and lyrics)

To view the video from email or feed please log onto www.FindEntertainmentNow.blogspot.com. Thanks!

Did you get a little tear in your eye from this one? It kinda reminds me of "We are the world" from the 1980's with Michael Jackson, Dionne Warwick, Stevie Wonder, Cyndi Lauper, Bruce Springsteen, etc. VERY powerful. Celebrities for USA for Africa now celebrities for Obama. Video from DipDive.com. Go O!

Here is the song that Will.i.am wrote for the democratic running hero:

The We Are The Ones Song
by will.i.am

people say Obama’s words are just words...
but...
when was the last time "words" weren’t important...???...

when was the last time a great leader didn’t use words to lead...??...
when was the last time a person didn’t use words to describe how they felt...?...
when was the last time "words" weren’t empowering...?...

and we can all recall the last time "words" were used to divide us and install fear...

Bush used words to fear us into voting for him the second time around...
terror this...
terror that...
nuclear here...
weapons of mass destruction there...

and those words effected a lot of people’s choices...

"enough is enough"...
let’s rebuild...

let’s change ourselves...
let’s allow positivity to guide us...

let's take action....
let’s activate our passion...
we are Americans....

and this is the first time in forever that someone running for president represents "US"...

some say this is all excitement...
I call it “proud to be an American”...

some say this whole Obama movement is "cult like"...
well...
if it comes across cult like...
then...
the cult is called America...

the Obama movement is connecting America.
and it has made "US" realize our importance...
the youth is excited and activated...
adults are passionate and motivated...
the elderly are proud to know the country they built is in safe hands...

we are one...

for too long politics has been corrupt...
separate from the American people...
with agendas that go against what the American people "need"...
education...
health...
safety...
jobs
etc...

politicians have spoken a different language...
making it so the youth and poor people feel as if voting was only for the wealthy and old people...
making "US" feel as if "we" had no voice...
making "US" feel powerless...
making it feel like if "we" did vote it wouldn’t change anything...

but wait...
that did happen...
some of us voted, and it didn’t change anything...

we were in the dark...
we had no voice...
we were powerless...

because America was not a united America...
and "they" spoke a different language...
and they had an agenda different from our well being...

correct me if I’m wrong... or speak up if I’m missing something...

we want education, health, safety, and good jobs...right???...
oh yeah...
and "a healthy planet to live on"...

but here we are...

in a war... poor education... poor health programs... the dollar is down... the planet, polluted...
the rich, richer... and the poor, struggling...
with sky high gas prices to top it all off...

and now even the rich aren't really rich internationally because our dollar is has fallen so far down...

in our slumber... a very small few got really rich...

because when you’re sleeping...

"it’s hard to change agendas"...

we know what happened in 2000 and 2004...
but in 2008...
it’s different...

we are awake...
and there is a movement...

and "it’s hard to change a movement"...

last time "we" didn’t have a movement...
America wasn’t united...

and now "United and "Standing"...for something...
we know the power of "US"...
and we have a person who represents the "U.S."...

"US"…

"we are the ones we’ve been waiting for"...

I’m proud to be an American...

END

Obama looses Pennsylvania AND declines another debate with Clinton...good look on that one Obama.

Hillary on the attack. Darling...I think it's time for you to close your mouth a little with the dirt throw-up coming out of it.

Predictably, Obama lost the Pennsylvania primary. But we already knew he would. While the win infuses Clinton’s redlining campaign with much needed cash, it does nothing for her chances overall. She still has no hope of beating Barack Obama in August unless there is foul play involved.

Obama’s camp realizes that and has decided not to play footsies with Clinton anymore. Obama turned down an offer from CBS to debate Clinton on Sunday after “60 Minutes.” Clinton sorely needs this debate to push forward her hateful agenda, but Obama doesn’t need it. The Democratic nomination is already in the bag.

Obama spokesman Dan Leistikow said this of Clinton’s chances of debating Obama: “Their attacks indicate they are really not looking for a debate, but any forum to continue their negative, throw-the-kitchen-sink campaign.”
The above views are from popular blogger, Sandra Rose. She has good insight on this situation in my opinion.

I myself say also that losing Pen should not matter. I am pulling faithfully still for Obama. And as far as the decline goes, let me tell you the man is not perfect, he is flawed but in his lack of perfection he has a decency and a humility about him that far outweighs Hillary's simple kindergarten tactics. Plus Obama has a great marriage (again i am not saying perfect) that is built on trust and respect unlike The Clinton's and that says something. Obama has class. Enough said by me.

Kanye and Alexis official break-up :(

Why i care about some celeb break-up i don't know. But i was a little saddened by the news last week that Kanye West and designer Alexis Phifer broke off their engagement. The rumors began when Alexis was seen at a fashion show sans her engagement bling. then she confirmed with People Magazine the real truth also revealing her sadness about the situation. Duh. But of course she's sad. Breaking up before the media can't be easy right?

It's weird because not too long ago (in a magazine interview) I recall him talking about them getting married soon. I recall him saying how much he loved her and how he found someone who was good for him. In pictures he always seemed to be so near her and happy to be at that! I wondered how they would fare after his mother's death and all the emotions that one goes through after that. Also after really listening to one of my very favorite songs of his, "Flashing Lights" I began to think that maybe he and Alexis had some problems with him getting caught doing her dirt and them going back and forth in the relationship. Maybe I analyze too much but Kanye seems to be real in his lyrics and talk about what he is going through in life. Also of that song he is quoted saying that the song was about everything going on in his life or should I say the video, which of course relates in its own way to the song.

Anyway I deem that our good 'ol lil rapper boy is just going through some stuff and still dealing with his emotions...as he always is because dude is publicly emotional. I wish them the best and if it is meant to be, they will get back together. Breaks are not so bad if you need them. Get your head together Kanye.

Estelle dances the night away at Sa Bor Lounge after her Sugarhill concert

Estelle...Say, "cheese!"
I don't normally like to post pictures of myself on the blog BUT i'm breaking the rules today...Shem, Estelle, Tammy, Me, and Mecca at
Sa Bor Lounge after Estelle's concert at Sugarhill

Well the crowd wasn't big enough so the talented John Legend didn't show his pretty little face after his concert at Sugarhill last night BUT Estelle being the newbie and trooper that she is held up her end and came and rocked with us a little in VIP at Sa Bor Lounge's Bailey's, Mercedes Benz Buckhead sponsored event.

Estelle is your best friend, the cool chick next door with the flamin' brit accent, the no fuss girl who is real, the funky dresser who's style works over that super buff bod, the girl who likes to dance around as if she's the only one in the room...and i like her.

Sa Bor Lounge is pretty tight yall. It boasts of two levels, a balcony, a private room and has a very red light district meets soul suite vibe to it. Thursday nights are free allllllllllll night long baby. Have fun!

Sa Bor Lounge (near Phillips Arena)

150 Walton St.

Atlanta, GA 30303

Thank you to Bytuah Gonsahn of Iron Global, and Clay West of 5 Star Media for VIP access and a few pictures. Also thank you to David of Estelle's management team for setting up the future interview. I look forward to it and so do others...Estelle is gathering a cult following and is quickly becoming a pop icon (Vibe and Blender magazine) with her disco flavored, feel good "American Boy".

Jam a little, listen to Estelle's "American Boy" here! If you receive this post via email or feed please log onto www.FindEntertainmentNow.blogspot.com to view the above video. Thanks!

Put that Coke down girl. You know that junk will corrode your insides mama! But lovin' the bag. Yes i tend to be a "bag lady".
nothing like comfort

Look at cute actress Lauren London, still looking just dandy with little to no make-up! She was spotted very recently on the set of her new movie, I Love You, Beth Cooper. It's about a nerdy valedictorian who decides to go all out on a limb and declare his love for a popular cheerleader, Hayden Panettiere. But i hope Lauren plays a main lead. Will Cherish sell past gold with their new album, "The Truth"?

The young, Cherish, looking a little better and still keeping it in the family

Well the girls are set for a new album release of, "The Truth" on May 13th 2008. "The Truth" is about their lives. Well I'm not a hater but to answer the title question, I just don't think so. "Do it to it" was one of those super hits. The guys were leaning and rockin' so the ladies smartly bit off of that and did their song in a female tone letting Sean Paul rap. Big hit, but is that all there was to Cherish? If Capital records pushes them then maybe they have a chance. I heard one person said if the girls (sisters) drop their album before Ciara it would be best. Some just got it for longevity and some don't. I don't know if Cherish has that jenesequa to stand past two big hits.

The first single off the album, “Killa” featuring rapper Yung Joc, also appears on the Step Up 2 Soundtrack. The sisters shoot the video for their second single today in Atlanta. (info from SandraRose.com)

They are not great but they are not bad either. There is sooooooo much competition out there in music and movies so it’s rough. One/groups need to stay fresh and at times forget where they came from…which can be very sucky.

"We want to be taken as seriously as En Vogue, Sister Sledge, TLC and Destiny’s Child. We are here to stay.” Farrah of the group, 24. Well The Dream, as fabulous of a writer that he is has written a couple of the new album's tracks! Here some new music, including, "Killa" here! Scroll down when u click on the link to read an interview the girls did and then more to hear the music from Imeem.com playlist. I just love Imeem!

I do wish them major success and hope they pull it off and then some. They are cute and going for the dream! Can't knock this hustle.

John Legend and Estelle at Sa Bor restaurant and lounge this Thursday night at 10 pm!

After the concert as Sugarhill this Thursday, John Legend (ooooh he can saaaaaaaang!) and his artist from his label, Estelle ("American Boy") will be heading to Sa Bor (a Latin name) Restaurant and Lounge to meet and mingle (gosh so many new clubs poppin' up like acne in the A!). I am set up to talk to the two superstars so i can give you the dish. I'll update you best I can on Friday! Also earlier in the day Estelle will be at Atlantic Records in Atlanta to publicize herself of course! Oh i just love the Brits. I may fake an accent for a while so don't be alarmed. Though i'm pretty good actually...(giggle!)
