Ex Idol, Studdard and Surata Zuri McCants made it official this past Saturday as they jumped the broom in an Atlanta ceremony. Word is the two met at a Walmart when he was signing CD's as she shopped. I don't know what happened from there but the end result is marriage! Awwww shucks. Aint they cute?! He just seems like such a kind man so i'm happy for them. Ol girl better take care of him! There may have little to worry about since Rube was famously dropped from his record label earlier this year for lack of sales so it mustn't be the money she is after. Apparently Zuri, mother of one, has been around the block with a few different football players and industry power players BUT anyone can change and settle down with the RIGHT guy. She probably saw that all the money and good looks in the world do not mean happiness or love. Real love can still exist these days right?? Riiiiiiiiiight! Naw but i predict they will last. God bless true love.

OMG. Okay, I totally doubted this one. Guess they shooooooooowed me. HUMPH.

They are really married. So who am i to judge and tell what is real or how I feel their relationship should go. If this is legit, at least they did it right. Whatever...i guess (speaking in soft broken sentences from shock).

So they met 6 weeks ago (for the first real time, which she could have planned if she wanted to get to know him) when he was the lead in her music video. Soon after she was seen sporting a huge engagement rock (more details on that below), then the rumors started to really fly and create a buzz, the couple kept quiet and then BAM on April 30th at Carey's Bahama home, they made it official. wow.

I've never been a gwaker at other ladies rings (if it aint mine who cares!) but i know most of you women out there care about that stuff so here it is:
The release described it as "crafted from platinum and features a square emerald cut fancy light pink diamond as the center stone surrounded by 58 intense pink diamonds and two half moon diamonds on each side.

The world is saying publicity stunt but does Mariah really have to fight for that? She's known as the great come-back artist and does have talent so maybe not. And Nick is a bit impulsive for the love of a beautiful woman (look at all his hot and heavy romance with his starlet exes) but this could be it for him. He's 27, so he's not a baby. Marriage is too serious to joke about and the 38 year old Mariah has already been down that road before. You don't see her linked up with any ol guy romantically. I think she chooses wisely. A Leo (Nick) and an Aries (Mariah)....Hmmm, who knows. I've been hoodwinked before but Good luck!

Who's Lying? Carmello Anthony and Lala OR the Denver Police?

It was all over the media that Denver Nuggets star player Carmello Anythony was pulled over early Monday morning because he was driving drunk. Reports show that the police department took favor on him by dropping him off at his hotel instead of taking him to detox and personally taking his pimped out ride to a safe place instead of impounding it. Investigations are being made do to this. Some say it's playoffs man so let it ride! Well the story was gnarled with rumors that Anthony's fiance and mother of his new son, Lala Vasquez refused to pick him up when he called her for a ride. There have been mixed reactions from, was it fair for Carmelo to get "special treatment" from the law enforcement in Denver to, can anyone blame Lala for leaving her man out to dry with his so called wicked ways....(i say so called because there is always here-say in celeb life)?

Well to set the record straight, Lala and her man spoke directly to the source, People Magazine and cleared the air. Carmelo quickly did a press conference to apologize to his team, fans and family for his unacceptable dangerous drunk driving behavior. And Lala of course spoke up so people would know she is down for her man. She's not letting any of these other chicks get her man cuz in the eyes of the public she aint acting right!

“I want to make sure the public understands that I fully support my fiancé, Carmelo Anthony, and stand by him through this ordeal,” Vazquez said in a statement to the popular People Magazine on Tuesday. “I will always have his back and never refused to pick him up from the police station. In fact, they offered to bring him to me.” (but police and magazines say otherwise...hmmmm. Lala is calling their bluff!)

Anthony followed with a humble,: “LaLa continues to be a rock in my life, she’s always been there for me through thick and thin.”

Well if she's your rock, mello, make that rock on her finger official and marry her already like you said you were! Or maybe she's not ready. Or maybe i should just stay outta grown folks biz...who knows what's really going on.

Robert of Day 26 proposes to his ex girlfriend June Pettiford! Wow...

Already lookin' like an old married couple...awww. Honest i think they are meant to be. Some folks like a lil drama to keep it spicy and know that no one else will put up with their ish!!

Remember when Diddy was making or choosing the now famous boy band right? Well Robert and June were back and forth on the phone many nights arguing because she cheated on him. He was feeling a little sensitive and she was trippin'.

Then remember last season when he was trying to hit on D.Woods on national tv (MTV's Making the Band) and D turned his butt down like no cuz she saw his exes (June or his) myspace page where they had pictures of her and Robert and she was still calling him her "boo". Robert gets mad and tells D that they are no longer together, he barely ever checks myspace someone else does that for him, he is not the kind of dude to cheat, he was really feelin' D, blah, blah, blah. It was very passionate, emotional, and loud.

Present day. Robert: "Will you marry me June?!" I guess all is forgiven. Because Robert went down to Detroit and proposed to good 'ol June, and brought her presents. It is all over her facebook (which i have a love affair with!). Oh well. Overall i think Robert means well and is just a very touch feely kinda guy who is a bit misunderstood. He wears his emotions on his sleeve. The thing with him liking D is normal. D is pretty hot/very cool, he got a chance to be around her, him and his ex were maybe on the rocks, hey....it is what it is (i wonder if she woulda been with him sans the new found fame though...hmmm). And yall know that some of you out ther right NOW have taken a man back for humiliating you much worse!! Robert went down there and did his thing for his 'ol girl. So for the newly engaged couple, i hope they are happy. A HUGE congratulations, all jokes aside! I send love. I really, really, really like Day 26. I was able to get an interview with them a couple of months ago and truly enjoyed myself. Those boys got talent & heart i tell you!

Ahhh loooooooove! It seems like everybody wants it. Willie was recently married (although he keeps hush hush about it), Que is dating Dawn (cutesy!), And i guess Mike is just having fun receiving extra love. So it seems that even people in the high profile music industry want the real stuff. And these boys have just come from living normal lives so they are still living like semi-normal people. I just pray that he (Robert) will stay faithful to his new fiance, but not only cuz it's right but June looks like the kinda chick who will cuta brotha if he starts to stick and jab some hookah. And that's not a diss to her either. Watch yo back!

Yes Jay-Z and Beyonce were married on Friday in semi privacy. I say semi private bcz you KNOW TMZ was on the scene. Reports say it happened at the top of Jay's New York apartment building. There were also flowers delivered. Is it all true or is the couple trying to throw folks off? Who knows...who cares?!! Well we do. But in real life after it's all said and done (OR NOT!) shouldn't we just wish them happiness and success in whatever they decide and when with their love?

"It was amazing — very special, very private, very intimate," a source tells Us. "Everyone had so much fun. It ended up being a wild party. DJ Cassidy was spinning and people partied until 4:30 a.m."

It's a marriage license for Bey and Jay. And honestly every other blog and they momma's blog is writing about this so it's kinda old news. But the real reason i post this news is for this picture I found on a blog. This is the first time i've EVER seen the hip-hop couple hugging or looking like they are an item. Now we all know they are and looks can be deceiving so how a couple "looks" doesn't always tell the true story. Still i haven't seen hugs, kisses, hand holding or anything between the two. So I just thought this was nice photo to post.

But the story is according to people.com the twosome got their marriage license, valid for 60 days only, in New York the other day. Woopdee doo! Maybe they will elope. I would if i were them. Who knows...but congrats to them because they have stayed together through lots of public bashing. One thing...I just hope the babies look like her. But even if they don't (gasp!) at least they are both very smart, talented and business astute people. Lucky kid that'll be! Corinne Bailey Rae's husband found dead over the weekend

Misfortune has happened upon the Grammy nominated sweetheart Corrine Bailey Rae. Her husband, 32 year old Jason Rae was found dead from an apparent drug overdose in a Leeds (200 miles from London) apartment on Saturday.

Jason Rae and Corrine, 29, have been married since 2001. He was a saxophonist with the Haggis Horns.

I didn't know that she had a husband much less that he was an artist himself. The sax is such a powerful instrument played with such passion and romance. Ahhh drugs...they take everything that is good and turn it into hell.

Our prayers go out to Corrine and the Rae family in this difficult time.

He has been called a"freakish talent" after this year's season end. Also dubbed, "The Natural", a rarity, dependable, raw, and legend Antonio Cromartie, corner back of the San Diego Chargers is like inherent magic on the field. Yet earlier this week when a fan gushed over him being famous and wanted to take a picture with him, before the flash of the Canon he simply replied, "I'm not famous, i'm just a regular guy with an irregular job."

People see, people talk
What I hear the most about this man, "Antonio loves the game.". When people that know him speak they always stress the word love. But you don't have to be family, friends or a sports enthusiast to gather such obvious observations about #31's passion for the sport. Antonio is not only in the game, he becomes the game. And at 6'3 and 203 pounds, the 23 year old is all might.

Difficult circumstances, unlikely victories
He hurt his knee in 2005 so severely that the medical team would not clear him to play. Antonio begged but his pleas were unwarranted. During 2006 his mother underwent treatment for breast cancer, and he put football on hold for a more important love, blood. Then some of you may remember that in the 2006 first round picks Cromartie and his agent seemingly got an unfair deal when as the #19 pick, he took a $900,000 drop in cash flow with "unreasonable" incentives compared to the the #20 pick. Oh and he wasn't even supposed to start in 2007. Guess what? Difficult circumstances can always turn into victories...if even unlikely at first. Cromartie who was always seen to be a raw talent by his team and GM, A.J. Smith, lead the league in 10 interceptions last season and got to play in his first pro bowl. He didn't win defensive player of the year BUT he got a few votes for the title in his favor. And this is really just the beginning for Cromartie who was only in his second season. Wow...I wonder what greatness the future will hold for this young man.

Wedding bells?
Well one great thing the near future holds for Cromartie is more love. Not love for the game or just a love for his family, but an extended family. Antonio Cromartie as most fans know is getting married this summer. He'll be 24 by the time he jumps the broom with a lavish wedding ceremony taking place in ______ at the______with his lovely now fiance ______. Yeah sorry friends I can't give you too many details yet to protect the very delightful nuptials of the happy couple. Plus again many of you out there already know the who the when and maybe even the how.

But this I will share with you: these two really adore each other and the wedding is going to be fabulous!! Oh the decor, the elegance! I know there are some haters out there and people can say negative things all they wish about someone else's romance however nobody knows the true heart of a man but God, that man, that woman and maybe the people who are the closest to them. Trust, they are confident. I am helping to work this wedding so I plan to post some pictures at the right and permitted time to show you all.

I hope that you have your own unique greatness. Whatever that may be. For Antonio it is football, for Chris Brown it is singing and dancing, for Oprah it is reaching the world through talk, for Martha Stewart it is baking and decor, for my mom it is being so selflessly giving. What about you? Find yours and expand so it is not only for self, and share. I also hope that you have a special love that you can call your own. Not a shared one but your own. And if you don't have it YET then that's okay. It doesn't make you less. Hell some people just aren't ready or are full enough. But i ask that when you find it (however and whenever it may come to you) that you respect that love and be grateful. Some things will be taken and never returned again once mistreated. Message...

Well their mom and dad, well mom is all over the TV screen so that makes them cooler i guess? Uhmmm...okay America. It's a girl and and a boy for singer/actress, etc., Jennifer Lopez and singer, Marc Anthony. Simon Fileds, Lopez' publicist told People Magazine that the couple is thrilled. First their daughter was born at 5 pounds, 7 ounces and then their son at 6 pounds on New York's Long Island shortly after midnight.

Congrats to the 39 year old Lopez and her younger man (he's 38 yall...haha!), Anthony. Sometimes you can still have a baby later in age and it's alllllllllllllllllright!

The Compound club Atlanta is down but love is in the air for Eva Pigford

Atlanta's beloved club, Compound on Brady St. shut down its door this past weekend but not without partying it up celeb style. Celeb guests included: Akon, Eva Pigford, Lance Gross, Keisha Knight Pulliam, Jazze Pha, Jeezy, & etc.

I wanted to post this picture from Sandra Rose's sight specifically because I really like to see black couples in lovededed! Eva Pigford (ANTM) and Lance Gross (House of Payne) have been dating for almost a year now (according to them) and are too cute. I had an interview with him not too long (coming to post soon!) ago where she arrived at his condo (right during the end) and you could tell that there was real love and admiration between the two. They adore each other...and it makes me smile. Anyway look out for Lance's new movie coming out next month: Meet the Browns with Angela Bassett and Rick Fox. Lance plays the young high school bball player. He's a great guy from what I've seen. And they are again blessed to have each other. I hope they continue to be happy together. He is such a dream!

Oh DaYum Tracey and Eddie!

Tracey and Eddie were just kidding yall!

How confusing! Tracey Edmonds and Eddie Murphy's "spiritual" marriage ends in a quick split. I must take people too literally because I really believed that they were serious, legit, and gonna make it. They are not young Hollywood so I thought their shot was more secure. I give most people the benefit of the doubt...shame on me. The next paragraph is the official statement released from both camps:

“After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further,” Murphy and Edmonds tell PEOPLE in an exclusive statement. “While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends.”

Why are they splitting so fast? Could it be that they moved too fast? Could it be that it was all a publicity stunt? Could it be that the rumors that Eddie was yelling at Tracey the entire weekend they were together be true and have put the bride and groom over the edge? What took so long for them to see that? Could it really be that it's none of my business? Haha! Anyway this obviously wasn't the first time that the couple's had issues. Well about a month ago I heard Babyface on the radio, Atlanta's V103 and he did not sound happy at all during his interview! He may not have said it but It can't be easy watching all over the media his recent ex and mother of his children, Tracey moving on so fast with a cad like Eddie. Eddie seems like bad news to me anyway in relationships...oh well. Babyface can smile again.

During his new year celebration the "hustler baby" finally talks to someone about his upcoming wedding to the love of his entertainment life, Beyonce. According to Vegas Luxe Life with Robin Leach this what Jay had to say:

“A wedding will be sooner rather than later, though,” he told me, “but it will be kept a private serious celebration for our very closest family and friends. When it does happen, we’ll keep it very quiet. When we read these news reports about hiding tattoos under wedding rings, we laughed together and said, ‘uh huh, another wild one—put it with the other 80,000.’”

Young (well not anymore) Hov also laughed off previous Paris and Vegas wedding rumors.

Well I guess it is time they get married huh? They have been through some stuff, rumors, drama and have stood strong. I am happy they are going to soon be married if that is what they wish. Why not? They fit well together and know how to closely guard their relationship. Wise.

Snoop Dogg's, "Father Hood" is more than we know

I didn't think i'd like it, much less enjoy it but I am a watcher of E!'s new reality series, "Snoop Dogg's Father Hood". I love his wife, Shante, a.k.a. Boss Lady. She is SO SO BOSS and I like it. Choc his young daughter is as cute as a snicker doodle and his sons Corde and Cordell are not so different than other boys their age: play sports, fascinated with money, messy, act up here and there. But they are pretty decent kids doing what most kids do...well except that throwin' money around bit...geez. but still they are seemingly functional. Probably almost as functional as you can get as a family in the entertainment business with Snoop as a daddy, the rapper, trouble maker, extraordinaire! Still I'd choose that household over Irv Gotti's. Shiiiiiiiiiiii....at least for now. The season just begun so let me be quiet.

Anyway now the Juice on the Street is that Snoop fathered a child, a young boy now aged nine named Julian Corrie Broadus while he was newly married to Shante his current wife. The boy's mother, Laurie Holmond and him do an exclusive interview (she probably got $$ for that one) with Star, real classy. But I don't think this will cause too much ruckus or stir in the hip hop or gossip community being that this child was born so 9 years ago and it's not a secret to his supportive wife. She already knows and it may kinda suck but they've obviously dealt with it after all these years so aight. There are no recent children born outta booty calls that we know of so cool. According to the ex-mistress (who claims that her and Snoop had a great relationship until she heard he had gotten married over the radio....uh yeah lady.) Snoop has been a great father to his son taking full responsibility. As he should hello! But anyway with the ups and downs that this couple (The Broadus') have had in their marriage with a divorce threat a few years back and Snoop's crazy antics, shoot plus look at the recent secret baby scandals by Jay-Z and Diddy, I don't think this one today, since it's old news for them is going to knock their union down. Shante and Snoop been down since high school. Ugh being married to a rapper...Hell naw! Marriage is hard enough I say! I give it to Shante...she's cute and yes she is BOSS!

Take two plastic girls, make sure these girls have some sort of feverish following fan base or controversial edge, convince them that they are looking for love, then convince them that they should do it on a popular television network tv show, then give them a house to live in, the give them an audience...and you got MTV's, "A Shot at Love" and VH1's, "I Love New York" staring Tila Tequila (Nguyen) and Tiffany "New York" Pollard. Good thing that MTV and VH1 are really ran by the same company these days so they don't have to stay in constant competition with programming and time slots. Look now every little dirty "reality" show can have high ratings! Wooo hooo!

Okay so since I'm NOT a hypocrite or a liar I have to admit I watched both shows...not Tila's show regularly from the beginning but New York's...YES! And I too was ensnared by the drama that unfolded before my wide brown eyes of these two wacky women putting themselves out there in front of millions of other brown eyes, and blue eyes, and probably grey, black, hazel, and green too!

I was not disappointed that New York did not choose "Punk". Well I kinda was for him at least since he seemed to really dig her and be sincere. However I didn't like how Punk acted like a Punk with her and started to resort to tattle telling when his confidence became shaky. But I don't feel sorry for him now...you can see him on myspace, youtube, and even a few entertainment industry parties running around like a lost soul trying to fit into the seedy world of HollyWeird all of the sudden. Pretty dumb.

I knew Tiffany wouldn't choose Buddha. But Buddha's (too cocky) presence on the show created the great debate and a juicy challenge for the queen of the mouth. In the end she knew this man and her would bump heads like no other. He played games and drove her crazy in too many ways so she went with the safe bet. The one that would adore her...which is what most women need. She chose Tailor Made. Not a man for me...he's a little too weasely and scrawny however "love" sees past that. Plus New York saw that bank account and money sounds like love in this culture!

In "A Shot at Love" at first I was convinced that Brandy would win Tila's heart. I liked the girl. And I don't even like girls like that. For real yall...don't play. Then when Brandy had her suspicious meltdown I thought okay maybe Dani. But then after the tall blonde thing left....uh Amanda. I knew it would be Bobby. Remember that kiss they shared on their "last date" after he gave her that sweet gift??!! Hello! Dani was cool and all but maybe a little too cool. She would be a good friend for Tila but not a lover. But Bobby...that boy adored her! There's that "adore" word again. And Tila coming from a background where she has always craved love needed that adoration that Bobby could give her. Bobby's charm was in his simple innocence and lack of know how that totally appealed to Tila who is the opposite. I just hope he can handle her fame and strong sexuality. We'll see. But I did almost shed a tear at the end because Dani was so sad, Bobby was so speechless and Tila was too happy to find a guy who liked her for her. Plus I think deep down she rather a guy's hand to hold than a chicks. I agree. Pretty sweet. Oh an ode to reality TV!
