Cri$tyle- the girl behind the music, and on top of the notes

Ice Cube says, "Today was a good day.", so I'll modify that to, "Last week was a good week." I traveled out of town for good times with friends in blazin' Florida, I noticed my hard work at the Kickboxing gym has finally been paying off (kisses her little budding "guns"), and I had the pleasure to meet and interview mega talented singer (YES she can REALLY sing, trust)/songwriter, properly penned, "The Ink" (pun intended), Cri$tyle at Atlanta based, Signature Sound studios. After our chat i was reminded why out of all the talent in the biz, writers fascinate me the most.

*Which artist that she worked with, turns out to be super cool and surprisingly undiva like?
*What's behind that fierce drive that's made her a new writing favorite?
*What does she promise to do that she's always wanted to do for her 25th birthday?
*Cri$tyle stays on the move, but what's her MOST favorite/enjoyable thing to do when she gets to relax?

So, The Ink? Is it THAT serious? Explain...

Well I'll give an obvious answer, she is in fact The Ink, because Cri$tyle is the powerful substance behind the music of some of today's industry elite: Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Beyonce, Natasha Beddingfield, Chilly, Q Parker (112), Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Hudson, Brandy (new album coming) and even for the up and comers like, Teyana Taylor and Keke Palmer. Ever heard of the "little" well known Billboard chart smashing ditty, "Touch my body", well, yeah that was your girl Cri$tyle, shawty (...what? i mean she was born and raised in ATL and all). And the new, "I'll be loving you long time" another of Mrs. Carey's errr i mean Cannon's (which we talk about that a little in the interview as well) new tracks featuring T.I., which is hot, much to do with the girl who wrote it because without the words, there is no song. So yes, it is that serious.

Cri$tyle, on legal documents Crystal Johnson is the coolest girl next door i've ever met. Yet she's not really a girl, she's a woman who unexpectedly fits the bill of the Hollywood come up story, without all of the HollyWeird attitude. She remembers where she's come from and has the highest of expectations toward her future. She's warm, intelligent, caring, driven, and wears cool kicks! Billboard hits, ASCAP notable, engaged to her true sweet heart, traveling the globe, being an inspiration for young adults (giving back), and hanging out with for some of your favorite artists, all by the age of 24! Move over, Keri Hilson, The Ink is gonna write you off! You know what i like about Cri$tyle, she wouldn't even want me to write something like that. She is humble and has only good things to say about people (especially on tape, LOL!). And for the record, Keri Hilson is dope, but i couldn't resist the line. And the truth is now these other writers have some serious competition because Cri$tyle is a multi talented phenom. (click on the links above to listen to the interview)

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, "We's married now!". GULP!

OMG. Okay, I totally doubted this one. Guess they shooooooooowed me. HUMPH.

They are really married. So who am i to judge and tell what is real or how I feel their relationship should go. If this is legit, at least they did it right. Whatever...i guess (speaking in soft broken sentences from shock).

Quotes from friends, industry friends, family, and the actual lovebirds themselves:
"She is very happy," he (friend of Carey- Vogue editor, Andre Leon Talley) told PEOPLE at the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala in New York on Monday.

"I've spoken with her and she is superb. She is over the moon." In his latest communication from the singer, he said she sounds like a woman in love. "I received an email from her [Monday] and she is so happy. She really sounds like someone on her honeymoon."

Talley also had words of praise for the songbird's new husband. "I love Nick Cannon for Mariah," he said. "For Mariah, this is poetry."

Music mogul Russell Simmons said he didn't know about the nuptials ahead of time, but sees why the pairing works. "Whatever makes them happy," he said Friday. "They have a lot in common and should have a lot of fun together."

"It's crazy right! We're definitely happy. Well wishes!" Cannon's brother, Gabriel, tells PEOPLE. "I'm trying to be like him and I love him
very much."

"He called us and told us all about it. We are happy for him. If that is what he wants, then we are happy for him," Linda Cannon, identified simply as a family member, was quoted telling E.

And even though CNN calls this marriage a scam, publicity stunt, this is what the new couple (omg...) have to say about it themselves:
"We really do feel we are soulmates," Carey tells PEOPLE, following their sunset ceremony at the pop star's Bahamian estate. "I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me.

" Cannon adds: "She is beautiful on the outside and 10 times as beautiful on the inside."

So they met 6 weeks ago (for the first real time, which she could have planned if she wanted to get to know him) when he was the lead in her music video. Soon after she was seen sporting a huge engagement rock (more details on that below), then the rumors started to really fly and create a buzz, the couple kept quiet and then BAM on April 30th at Carey's Bahama home, they made it official. wow.

I've never been a gwaker at other ladies rings (if it aint mine who cares!) but i know most of you women out there care about that stuff so here it is:
The release described it as "crafted from platinum and features a square emerald cut fancy light pink diamond as the center stone surrounded by 58 intense pink diamonds and two half moon diamonds on each side.
"The total carat weight of the ring — center stone is 10 carats — is a jaw-dropping 17 carats with a value of $2.5 million." (Jacob & Co.)

The world is saying publicity stunt but does Mariah really have to fight for that? She's known as the great come-back artist and does have talent so maybe not. And Nick is a bit impulsive for the love of a beautiful woman (look at all his hot and heavy romance with his starlet exes) but this could be it for him. He's 27, so he's not a baby. Marriage is too serious to joke about and the 38 year old Mariah has already been down that road before. You don't see her linked up with any ol guy romantically. I think she chooses wisely. A Leo (Nick) and an Aries (Mariah)....Hmmm, who knows. I've been hoodwinked before but Good luck!

The YBF blog, Sandra Rose, etc. are showing this off! Well Mariah looks amazing like always but the way she is leaned forward disturbs my eyes. I feel like she is a pretty faced ompaloompa…the way her body looks leaned that way makes it seem as if that is not her hand coming around the hat, neither one. Photoshop needs to clean it up a little. Maybe if she stood more straight it would come together better. Then again I heard that this was only the promo cover and not the actual. So we'll see! Either well Mimi will sell another record copies I'm sure. She's good...i aint mad. :)
