Soul Train Tuesday popped off with Prominence PR's premiere gifting suite. Incredible vendors and some celebrity eye candy walked through the building at Room Servic Lounge, to get a load of the goodies like: Wine, cigars, clothing and skin products. I got some cool schwag myself. Woohoo! Thanks to Keisha McCotry.

Straits, midtown ATL location. Great food, drinks & it's HUGE.

Uptown had a party, Joia (i drove by for a minute, Lyfe Jennings & Tameka Foster-Raymond were there) had a party but aint no party like a Ludacris party obviously, because many of the Soul Train celebrity participants headed over to his restaurant Straits to end the night right into the next day. I arrived late because my company (http://www.nuanceworldmedia/) is involved in a movie casting (check the website for more details!) But even by the time i got there it was still packed from wall to wall. People with SOUL sure know how to party! Do you got soul?

I must say that this year Soul Train awards TRUMPED BET's. Hmmm. Well, let the games begin...

Toni Braxton hospitalized in Las Vegas

The HOT mega grammy winning singing super star, Toni Braxton (she performs these days at the Flamingo hotel/casino) was hospitalized in Las Vegas yesterday due to chest pains. That scared me. A man at my kickboxing gym in good health just went through that and didn't make it. I hope that Toni's story has a different outcome. She is still young, active in her career and very much in shape.

You know this news got me to thinking. I feel like God has been trying to teach me something. And it is a message about how to really live life to please and obey Him by His standards not the watered down, selfish, angry, and excuse filled model that many choose to take part in today. I've been listening to different stories about life and how it is not known how or when or why it ends when it does but i do know this: it is not promised that the life given to us will be long. I pray for Toni and her family now. And I pray for everyone here that they will not take their lives for granted. Strive towards being grateful, remembering what is REALLY important in this life (non material) and treating others with love and respect. I want a heart to obey God. And Lord please help me to work on it with faith daily. Amen.
