He has another big party scheduled in NYC where he is posing as prince Hakeem from Coming to America. Apparently there will be royal robes, seating and all. LOL. Anyway at this DC party, Big Tigga, Ludacris, Angel Lola Luv and NBA Baller Steve Francis was seen in the building. No Rocsi. Reports are saying if it's not Rocsi that got raped then it's Gabrielle Union, Nicole Murphy (Eddie's ex wife) Adrienne Bailon (The Cheatah Girls) or Lisa Raye (?!!). So either he took it from someone or he got it freely from someone and now they are screaming rape. Some are saying LisaRaye herself may have set him up because she is bitter from his philandering ways. Either way Misick sux! Oooooh dirty scandal.

BMI will present its 11th Annual Unsigned Urban Showcase Thursday, April 24 at Atlanta's Luckie Lounge

Headliners for the highly-anticipated night of music are Cash Money/Universal Records star Lil’ Wayne; hit-making wordsmith Sean Garrett, aka The Pen; and Star Trak/Interscope buzz recording artist Teyana Taylor, who will each bring their respective high-energy sounds.

Toni Braxton hospitalized in Las Vegas

The HOT mega grammy winning singing super star, Toni Braxton (she performs these days at the Flamingo hotel/casino) was hospitalized in Las Vegas yesterday due to chest pains. That scared me. A man at my kickboxing gym in good health just went through that and didn't make it. I hope that Toni's story has a different outcome. She is still young, active in her career and very much in shape.

You know this news got me to thinking. I feel like God has been trying to teach me something. And it is a message about how to really live life to please and obey Him by His standards not the watered down, selfish, angry, and excuse filled model that many choose to take part in today. I've been listening to different stories about life and how it is not known how or when or why it ends when it does but i do know this: it is not promised that the life given to us will be long. I pray for Toni and her family now. And I pray for everyone here that they will not take their lives for granted. Strive towards being grateful, remembering what is REALLY important in this life (non material) and treating others with love and respect. I want a heart to obey God. And Lord please help me to work on it with faith daily. Amen.

Yes Jay-Z and Beyonce were married on Friday in semi privacy. I say semi private bcz you KNOW TMZ was on the scene. Reports say it happened at the top of Jay's New York apartment building. There were also flowers delivered. Is it all true or is the couple trying to throw folks off? Who knows...who cares?!! Well we do. But in real life after it's all said and done (OR NOT!) shouldn't we just wish them happiness and success in whatever they decide and when with their love?

The popular dancing and singing boy band who enjoyed wild success in the late 80's and 90's with hits like, "Hanging Tough", "Step by Step", and "Please don't go girl" (yes i named those all by memory friends...i kinda liked them you could say...shut up!) are bringing it back together according to AP News. Yeah i'm a little confused but hey this is the come back era and they are riding on it's train. "WOOOO WOOOOO!!!" I haven't seen any white boy bands in a while and they were good when they were around but I just wonder if their season has ended. They ain't so young and cute anymore (although man make-up helps...haha!). Not to say that music is only for the young. Look at Madonna, Mariah, Janet (album sales were boo boo but she's still hot!), Lenny K, Nick Lachey, and etc. They are are older and not teeny bopps anymore and they do decent....some even do VERY well! So sing on NKOTB...sing on. I think...

Apparently this comeback has been in the works for years. Donnie (the smart one who is by the way still hot!) was the hold up in the "getting back together" process but now he's on board since they will be doing some new songs. Remember when youngest member and super heartthrob Joey did his solo gig some years back?? Yeah you probably don't. Not so good. Maybe this one will work better. Anyway you can catch this reunion on NBC!

Vanessa & Angela Simmons of Pastry & Run's House exclusive interview!

I zoomed into the lobby of The Four Seasons trying to make smooth of the mess of hair that I had inherited after doing a marathon up the stairs. I was trying to catch the girls before their next appointment. The Simmons girls were (are) only in Atlanta for two days and have places to go and people to see (they are hosting a party at the Compound club tonight)! Dang, I left all of my questions in the car in the rush! Oh well. Okay so what would they be like? They seemed cool on "reality" TV but maybe they were really super Hollywood in person or possibly rushed and bored? Who knew! But when the doors opened my partner Shem and myself walked into the interview with clear minds and renewed confidence. Because you know confidence is everything.

First impression: These sisters are svelte and more gorgeous in person than on television. Honestly the pictures here can do no justice to how stylish and glamazon these young ladies are. And then i learned these two may be in the throes of Hollywood but they are NOT Hollywood.

Vanessa and Angela Simmons have a full life. These 2 business savvy women under the age of 25 have got it all: money, power, loving family, great friends, fame, beauty but most importantly a strong connection with God. The spirituality that they so boldly share with others is probably what gives them the humility that is within them. This humility says, "I know I have all of these things because of God.".
With moral fiber these ladies manage: business, philanthropy, television AND enterprise. You want to know how they do it? Interested to know what their future plans are with their shoe line Pastry? Is the enchanting Vanessa still doing television or did she give it up after, "The Guiding Light"? What about, "Angela's Run Down" the hip hop magazine the more fiery sister started not too long ago? Is baby girl Miley easy going? And how do they have time for special men in their lives (Angela is dating skater Terry Kennedy) with all of this going on??!! Well needless to say I remembered all of my questions in my heart (God is good) and got the scoop from the girls on all the above and more in the interview here.

I've got to say that not only are these girls creative (the different shoe styles are cute cute cute!), young and successful but with that they are an oasis of positivity. The twosome take their job seriously as influential role models who give back. It is good to see beauty in Hollywood that is far greater than skin deep. My prediction is that this clever team will be around for a long time. Check out their website! There is much more love and success from them to come!

It's a marriage license for Bey and Jay. And honestly every other blog and they momma's blog is writing about this so it's kinda old news. But the real reason i post this news is for this picture I found on a blog. This is the first time i've EVER seen the hip-hop couple hugging or looking like they are an item. Now we all know they are and looks can be deceiving so how a couple "looks" doesn't always tell the true story. Still i haven't seen hugs, kisses, hand holding or anything between the two. So I just thought this was nice photo to post.

But the story is according to people.com the twosome got their marriage license, valid for 60 days only, in New York the other day. Woopdee doo! Maybe they will elope. I would if i were them. Who knows...but congrats to them because they have stayed together through lots of public bashing. One thing...I just hope the babies look like her. But even if they don't (gasp!) at least they are both very smart, talented and business astute people. Lucky kid that'll be! Hmmm....i'm thinkin'....I'm a lil older than Bey but do you think that should stop me from tryna get them to adopt me. I'm good and can clean up after myself!

After the interview last week with Marlon Campbell (director/screenwriter of "Oblivious") I watched the preview for "Blaque in the House" on Youtube. Akbar Cojoe (who along with Mr.Campbell is an executive producer for the new reality show) had told me that on the first day of posting the video it had over 4000 hits. Well seeing is believing and so I came, I saw and put faith in the success of the up and coming show. These girls seem to be not only group of cute girls but fun, sassy, talented girls who could be your next best friend. I've seen them out and about months ago and more recently (and they look exactly the same!) and wondered if they were on the scene due to a new album. Well they were and are. Look for this show to hit the airwaves in the late spring/early summer. I am a reality TV nut so i will be watching!

Derek Blanks is one of the most talented photographers of our era. Let me say that again, Derek Blanks is one of the most talented photographers of out era. What this man does with real life pictures, Picasso did with paint, and Prince does with the electric guitar. The man is an artistic genius whose portraits draw in the perfections of any face.

Last night I partied like a rock-star without liquor, drugs or self groupie action. Well let me stop I never do those things (okay okay maybe on Wednesdays...you got me!) but I just wanted that explanation to be used so those of you who didn't get a chance to attend Derek Blank's "Alter Ego" exhibit can get a clear visual of what the evening was like. It was fun without any need for extra "medications" if you will. The music was RIGHT and after that the audience grooved to the likes of Jazzspects, a funky jazz band. Much hotness.

Celebrities by the likes of: Monica, Cee-Lo Green (my secret crush), Mychael Knight, Janelle Monae (who is the most beautiful and sweet woman. She seems to emulate a pure and magnetic soul), Tasha Smith, Lisa Raye, Ciara, Kim Porter, and Akon adorned the walls of 595 North (on North Ave. in Atlanta) for this creative artistic display of alter ego personalities captured and dreamed by the eye of crafted photographer Blanks. The "Alter Ego" almost shows the pull between good and evil, light and dark, Dr. Jekyll and Mr.Hyde, who I am before the public and who I am when no one is watching, and at times it just displays the many different personas to one being. Other celebrity clients include: T.I., Beyonce, Ludacris, and Usher.

T.I. who is a client of Blanks gave a surprise appearance and took a few pictures before graciously being left to gaze at the beauty that filled the studio with his adorable fiance Tiny. Tip was accompanied by Grand Hustle artists Big Kuntry and C-Rod. Thanks!) of T.I.'s first night on the town since his arrest last fall here. I didn't want to be some stalkerazzi so the footage is short. T.I. is not able to interview at the present time. We all know how television can edit anything to make it look like a massacre for ratings sake. Along with her company Camille has been modeling over seas and in the U.S. for the past couple of years.

I ran into Cristal Steverson of Flava of Love and Charm School and found out that she is opening up a clothing boutique here in Atlanta this summer. The boutique is called, ME Boutique. Cristal's hair was very cute and she was very undiva like in her attitude and instead a real chill lady. I didn't like what I saw on television but again I have to remember that TV does not always make a person who they really are. Derek Blanks actually photographed Cristal with Ludacris some time ago.
