DJ Trauma birthday bash brings the drama

Men of Honor! Happy birthday love!
Vawn & Jazze staying fresh (Welcome to Dreamland on BET)Dennis Byon (Management) & Maff Test in the building
Don Cannon (That kat is funny...)
Friend & Ray Daniels (Rock City's Manager)
Drumma Boy (Welcome to Dreamland BET)Packed like sardines...smh but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves (unless they were stabbed)

And not DJ Drama…well actually he was there too with his lady Summer Walker. But the kind of drama I’m talking about is the kind that sadly seems to erupt when you have too much testosterone in a packed place. The celebrity DJ of Hot 107.9 radio’s birthday ended with several men being involved in an altercation ending in 3 men being stabbed (via AJC). The first reports on the popular social network Twitter from some of the urban community were reports of gun shots and a shooting. The truth revealed the stabbing that took place right as Atlanta’s Luckie Lounge, the spot where the festivities were held, was shutting down for the night/day.

Well besides that I’m sure Trauma had a great time partying with his celebrity friends: Estelle, DJ Drama, Summer Walker, Drumma Boy, Vawn, Jazze Pha, Maff Test, Lil Duval, MLK, JD, Don Cannon, Ludacris (who kept a low profile…nothing new), Chaka and more. For me the party was just decent…nothing I hadn’t seen before in Atlanta, same ol. However lots of excited guests who wanted to be around celebrities (and pay $200 vip fees…WTH?!) showed out till there was no room to find your own face. It was hotter than Hades in that joint. Anyway happy birthday again to an obviously beloved DJ.

P.S. Late post due to internet down.

T.I. is still "Untouchable" as he celebrates his 28th birthday in style! Plus "Paper Trail" selling out in stores!

Birthday boy flashing me a smile right for the camera!
Tiny and Tip (looking like an angry red man. Probably tired of pictures huh?)
Gentleman, Toccara (looked FAB!!) and Mr. Kevin Liles (clean the whole weekend)
Kenny Burns doing what Kenny does...acting out (during Sean Garrett interview)
TBoz (that's her bro sliding away)
Young Bre (upcoming artist) and Jerry Clarke (Island Def Jam)
Mr. Knight looking clean per usual.
Drumma Boy (my 1st interview EVER. I'll never forget. Thanks to Squeak his awesome manager for that last year.)
Me and Jarvis- DTP artist (i saw the ladies all over this one yall! All you gotta do is say, "Record Deal" and the claws come out. Sad.)
Lisa and Ed Hartwell (Real Housewives of ATL and NFL)
Alpha and Deon Grant (Seattle Seahawks)
Open bars are from the deBil!
Victorian ladies happily shaking their groove thangs in a cage

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times; it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness; it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity; it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness; it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair; we had everything before us, we had nothing before us; we were all going directly to Heaven, we were all going the other way."
A Tale of Two Cities- Charles Dickens. Hmmm or was that, "T.I. versus TIP"- Clifford Harris? It does talk about both sides of the self inflicted, dueling rapper. No no no, actually it is "Paper Trail" which tells a tale of two cities. A man who has been on the dark side and is entering the light. Who lost almost everything and then starts to gain the respect back.

It was the worst of times October 2007 when the king was busted on illegal weapons charges hours before he was to take the stage at the 1st annual BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta. But it seems that the particular defeat was cleverly disguised as a victory as the MC, refreshed and wiser is emerging a year older, and a HOT new album stronger. With "Paper Trail" furiously flying off the shelves in record stores in an age when hip hop is NOT selling for the majority. I'd say for this southern gentleman, It is the BEST of times.

Well my 2nd Favorite rapper (second only to Andre 3000) did it again! He threw himself (with the help of Music Business Politics and The Garner Circle PR at the Biltmore hotel in Downtown Atlanta) another crazy birthday party but not only to celebrate another physical year of life but the birth of a newer him, and the release of his newest album monikered to pinpoint how he journaled the lyrics instead of his normal off the dome style. And it makes a difference!! Everyone i've talked to thus far is saying, "This is his best work yet!". A male friend happily told me yesterday, "It seems I can play the whole thing without skipping any songs." Now I've always stanned for T.I. Just a couple years ago my best girlfriend and I used to scream in lust (yeah i said it) and awe when ever he'd come on TV (so sad). That's why I jumped to be an intern for a year at Grand Hustle Records during that time. I always believed in his talent. We see T.I. is confident, we see T.I. can rip, but "Paper Trail"...oooh weee. The newest edition to his discography leaves its own trail. A trail of fire blazing wilding yet still in total control daring other rappers to try to match his current grandeur. This album might be the baby. But this baby is a little man (you know the type ladies...), with a mustache and muscles. So patna, be easy. And if you haven't copped, "Paper Trail", duh. What are you waiting for? If you can't get it in stores, get it online here. I found it for the slackers right there on Buy.com for less than $11.00. It's selling. Not only because it's damn good but because controversy and drama sells albums point blank PERIOD. This man has his share. Again the whole album is smokin' but my favorite track is: "My Life". What a perfect calabo with mega star Rihanna. I bump this one hard over and over again in my hooptie. :-)

Thank you to Nicole and her team at The Garner Circle PR (thank you Daniel for looking out) for the invite and Music Business Politics (Hannah Kang and Grand Hustle GM) for entry. I also thank the open bar which made me sick. J/K. No honestly, i am a light weight and that's why i don't really drink. Hello! But the party was lovely. Kevin Liles (Atlantic Records royalty!), Jason Jeter, Toccara, Tione (T-Boz), The Hartwells (Ed and Lisa), Michael Knight, Sean Garrett, Kenny Burns, Jerry Clarke, Young Dro, Big Kuntry (album dropped 9.30.08 as well...which i don't understand but okay...) Alphamega, Deon Grant, Jazze Pha (he goes to ER party though), Ryan Cameron (V-103...hmmm where was Frank?), Stay Fresh (producer), Drumma Boy (Producer), Andrew Young, Jarvis (DTP artist), Ecstacy, and more came to help Tip and Tiny celebrate for not only the party but some even for the entire Grand Hustle take over weekend (including, comedy show, skating, and a Sunday power brunch hosted by Liles and Tip). I must say, great touch on the ice sculpture and the quartet playing in the beautiful Biltmore hotel lobby. Classy. Last years' party held a little more star power and was even more crowded (which i don't enjoy crowds) but this year was better in that the people i spoke with I was able to network with. A special thanks to Island Def Jam VP, Jerry Clark who was part responsible for my short term sickness but mostly responsible for keeping me laughing for a good 20 minutes. I look forward to our interview. Good peoples...

p.s. I no longer lust after the likes of T.I. I have moved on to greener and more darker skinned pastures.
:)

D.Woods celebrated her birthday at Atlanta hot spot, Luckie Food Lounge on 4th of July eve. Danity Kane, The Girls Club (consists of D.Woods, her sister Shanelle and Meeka Means), Llyod, B.Cox, Gorilla Zoe, Bangladesh, Don Cannon, Mychael Knight, and notably the infamous DJ Jazzy Jeff on the spin, joined the pop star for a night of fun, 80's singing, and great cake! (red velvet ice cream cake from Cold Stone Creamery...yummmm i promise!)

The stage was ran by The Girls Club (a group with D.Woods in it) who took it back to the Madonna days (when they sang, "Don't Stop Believing" I swear i almost started crying like a wet baby. They did pretty damn good!), DK graced us with one song (but didn't seem so enthused...could be due to the irconcert earlier at Six Flags), and Rock City. Rock City tore it up and even had me jumpin' in a dress and heels. These boys are HOT!

Thank you to The Garner Circle PR (Daniel, go on and check my spelling...LOL!) for allowing me to cover the event. Danity Kane was very pleasant. Great job coordinating!

Tip came out before heading home for curfew (but at least he gets to hang), Dro was showin' us all why he's, "The best thang smokin' " Keri Hilson brought the party, Hannah Kang (GM of Grand Hustle) showed up being a boss lady she is, and Fergie who is in Atlanta recording with Polow (the infamous track leaker!) hit the club up too. For more pictures and celeb guests (like Jeezy, Chingy, Rich Boy, and Mannie Fresh to name a few) in attendance check out Sandra Rose's website!

Terrence J (106 & Park) celebrated his Birthday at Love Nightclub in DC this past friday AND rape scandal for Lisa Raye and her wayward husband

My oh my is that Circoc Vodka we are so gleefully (drunkenly) swiggin' on Terrance??!! Hmmmm...?

Terrence J (who puts the corn in cobb and the corn in corny) celebrated his birthday at Love Nightclub in DC this past friday. He has another big party scheduled in NYC where he is posing as prince Hakeem from Coming to America. Apparently there will be royal robes, seating and all. LOL. Anyway at this DC party, Big Tigga, Ludacris, Angel Lola Luv and NBA Baller Steve Francis was seen in the building. No Rocsi. (above pictures from NecoleBitchie.com) Speaking of 106 & Park, there is a brand new rape rumor going around about the young female vj involving Turks & Caicos prime minister, Micheal Misick (i've always had a baaaaaaaaaad feeling about that negro), LisaRaye's husband of course. Lisa is so fabulous and rape is dirty! Hmmmm...I hope it's not true. Reports are saying if it's not Rocsi that got raped then it's Gabrielle Union, Nicole Murphy (Eddie's ex wife) Adrienne Bailon (The Cheatah Girls) or Lisa Raye (?!!). So either he took it from someone or he got it freely from someone and now they are screaming rape. Some are saying LisaRaye herself may have set him up because she is bitter from his philandering ways. Either way Misick sux! Oooooh dirty scandal.

It's a "Stunna" Sweet 16 party planned for Quincy Brown (Kim Porter's & Al B Sure's/Diddy's son)

I know right...the title is a little complicated. I don't know how much Diddy will ultimately have to do with this "Stunna" titled sweet 16 celebration staring Quincy (who looks JUST like his poppa by the way!) since the infamous Kim/Diddy split (that needed to happen by the way...it was her own sound decision, she took her time and the time must've been right) took place earlier this fall. Well whether Dids is still playing Daddy or not, i'm sure it'll be a party to remember. MTV's popular TV reality show, Sweet 16, which showcases rich (sometimes famous) parents balling out of control to lavish expensive, cars, jewelry, clothing, talent performances and venues to please their "entitled" children is going to be taping what I'm sure will be a super party. Especially if Diddy has anything to do with it. Diddy is a perfectionist, which I can't be mad at him for. Even if his personal life may be in mayhem, his professional life is just fine and the man has got that eye and flair for making things look hot. When the man stamps his name on something people know a memory will be made. Puffy and Quincy have history because moms and puffy had history so I'm sure Puff will be involved somehow.

Well I hear that Quincy who is Kim's son from Al B Sure is a sweet kid. I sure hope so. He went on the radio and gave away 100 passes to his shindig to some lucky winners. A big twist on this story may be that he gives out gifts to people instead of getting a truck full of them on TV (that's a rumor going around, a positive rumor but...we'll see). But most of the kids on the show seem spoiled, rude, ungrateful, arrogant, expectant and whiny. But hey I'm not the parent so it's not my battle. The producers at MTV (and other networks of course) however do have a slick way of editing the footage taped before and during these "rights of passage" parties that make the kids featured on the episode seem like mini monsters. They do point out the worst flaws for viewers to "ooh" and "ahhh" about. Oh well it makes for good TV. I watch it!

Anyhow the party is this coming Saturday night at a PRIVATE LOCATION!!! PR for the event is being handled by The Garner Circle.

Keri Hilson likes it just the way it were...

If you are not able to see the attached Keri Hilson birthday video shot log onto www.FindEntertainmentNow.blogspot.com. Thanks!

Keri loves giving the peace sign

Ronnie...cool dude

It was a night to remember: side pony tails, ankle boots, bangles, door knockers, thick black square frames, big belts, one shoulder bearing jersey dresses, members only jackets, Rosana Arquette hair from "Desperately Seeking Susan", jerri curls glistening with "Soul Glow", thick gold LL Cool J/Run DMC chains, too much blush, tie dye, colorful tights, puffy prom skirts, too much pink, spandex for boys...all together tacky cool. These people took this ISH very serious, next time I'm pulling out the activator!

"Like totally OMG!" I kept expecting Micheal J. Fox to show up because I had been shifted "Back to the Future" for singer/esteemed song writer Keri Hilson's psychedelic 25th birthday party held at The View in Atlanta on Saturday night. And if you don't know, now you know, Keri Hilson has enough star power to bring out the hypest in Hip Hip royalty: Nicole Garner & team of The Garner Circle PR was directing things (GREAT JOB! Thanks for the invite!) Polo Da Don (Host), Drumma Boy (Producer...check out our exclusive interview on www.FindEntertainmentNow.com), Cee-Lo, Jazzy Pha (and he is the same in person as he is in videos...stupendous!), Nelly (Hellz yeah AND he performed "Grillz"!), Jeezy, Chamillionaire (such a low key/cool cat), Jlack, Bone Crusher (very nice dude), Chaka Zulu, AK the Razor Man (Grand Hustle/PSC shout out!), Jermaine Dupri, Jonta Austin, Diamond (formerly of Crime Mob), London (Kinky B's label), Jagged Edge, Bobby V, yall the 90's really were reached when the likes of Blaque came out and the one and only Ronnie Devoe (hasn't aged 1 bit) of BBD showed up and out! I got to do a little interview with Ronnie and found out that he and BBD would be touring all over the world next year! Get ready ladies! In addition he's been investing in real-estate (good man) and has other endeavors. Keep up with him at www.thedevoeteam.com. "Girl I must warn you...."!
The rich and famous didn't bother much with the upstairs VIP but stayed mingling it up and shoulder brushing with the commoners on dance floor in the large warehouse like set-up. Even with all the glowing star power in the house I did good. I didn't yell out in turrets syndrome fashion, "I see you on TV!" to any of the celebs who represented for the lady of the hour. So be proud of me.

The 1980's/90's Keri Hilson celebration featured alcoholic slushies, cheese burgers and apple pies, catered by McDonalds, ring pops, candy straws laced with the purest white powder...sugar! And goodie bags in Happy Meal boxes stuffed with a lil Hen(essy that it...but damn they forget to throw in the coke...coke the DRINK people!), a rubiks cube (who in the heezy is Rubik anyway??), and Keri lotion...how cute is that??!!

What I ADORE about Keri...first of all she is a SAGITTARIUS, (as Ryan Cameron from V-103 radio would scream) and if you didn't get the significance of that so am I...my bday is tomorrow! We fire gurls iz special! Okay back to Keri...she's way fun, great style, earthy, chill, silly, smart, gracious (after the party the rest of the food was donated to a mission by Keri...awwwww....gotta love a girl like that!) humble but yet home girl is a BOSS chick. She knows what she wants and what she's worth. She's got an album coming out in 2008, watch out for her. Because she's a writer and not in the public eye as much her name has not been circulated very heavily yet, but please believe she's ALL THAT.

All in all it was an INCREDIBLE night! The only major disappointment was nobody broke out into a "Vogue". Kidding.

Ciara and friends party at the Velvet Room in Atlanta

CC arriving in style
" The Glamerous...flossy...flossy"

Interviews...interviews...everyone wants to talk to the princess

CC and Ne-Yo in his signature cap... (they are both very nice)

An 8 foot cake made for a sweet diva! YUM!!!

Daddy and Mommy...such a great family
"Hi I'm Bobby V!"

Diamond wasn't iced out
Above pics from Celebrity Woo Hoo
Getting tired of hearing about Ciara? Well too bad cuz she's hot right now with her 5 city birthday tour, Rocawear modeling & endorsement contract and new movie adaption of the play, Momma I Want to Sing. CC's got her hands full.

Well stop number 3 on her 5 city tour was in hometown, Atlanta as I mentioned last week. She came to the A last night right in the middle of her promotion to celebrate in her born city with her fans, friends and family at the Velvet Room club, arguably one of the hottest night spots in Atlanta, period!

Ciara was joined by her father, mother, Ne-Yo, Lil Scrappy, London (R&B singer recently signed to Hush Management by Kinky B), Diamond (Crime Mob),Drumma Boy (music producer),Stay Fresh (music producer), Buckeey (Shay Johnson), Bobby Valentino, "Punk" (muscle hunk of I Love New York 2), and a host of others to celebrate her Atlanta birthday party in style!

As Ciara arrived looking FAB and toned to grace the red carpet at 12:45 a.m., she was noted saying upon an interview that this was the first time in her musical career that she had a birthday party in Atlanta.

She seemed to have fun requesting songs as well as sing some of her own jams (that were being played for a good portion of the night) from her towering spot in VIP, that had almost as many people in it as the actual dance floor did. When I got to VIP some girls were flirting with Ne-Yo, a few rappers were standing around looking over important and cool, several chicks were waving their booties hoping to become a model in the next video and of course you had some dudes taking advantage of that booty promise. Other people were drinking, dancing and laughing. Not much of a drinker or a fan of random men feeling all over me I chilled in the "exclusive" (it was nice to go up there sure but I'm just making fun of how people pee on themselves to go to VIP...self included at certain times...shameless guilt) section and didn't stay too long. Shoot it was getting late! Even with all the carousing going on up the VIP stairs, Ciara was very poised, thankful and pleasant in normal Ciara fashion. Her birthday cake was huge at 8 feet and decorated in red and white. Toward the end of the evening her father spoke about how grateful he was the be there and have his daughter. It was his actual birthday that evening. Awww! Two Scorpios in the family! It was a great night, the club was still pretty stacked by the time I left at 2:00 a.m.

Alex Gidewon, the owner of The Velvet Room on Chamblee Tucker Rd. as well as The Compound on Brady Street in Midtown Atlanta knows how to make sure an event goes smoothly.

Nicole Garner (and the rest of her team) of The Garner Circle PR did an amazing job like she always does keeping the media on the red carpet together as well as making sure her stars of the nights (Ciara and Ne-Yo) were taken care of. Nicole is really making waves her involvement in these excellent celebrity events. She is trusted to take care of people and for good reason. She is very hands on and pleasant while doing it with a non "Hollywood" attitude. Recently Nicole was honored by Rolling Out Magazine on their top 25 list of most influential women in Atlanta. Well deserved for a young, ethnic, hard working woman.

So next week it's Jay-Z at The Velvet Room friends. As I understand there is no media allowed. I don't know if this will change or not but if it does it will probably be media accepted like, BET, Source, VIBE, etc. I told you last week and I'll tell you again, $50 to get in or $100 for the VIP line. Unless you know somebody who knows somebody. I need to get to know somebody. And if you know somebody that I can know then let me know. And until next time. Ciao!

NOTE: I met some cool cats on the carpet made of red...
1. CJ & the Sagittarius from www.konsolekingz.com (an urban gamers website, super rad!)
2. Davone from Clutch Magazine (www.clutchmagonline.com) a women's fashion, celebrity magazine with a strong online presence.
3. Kavario from Hip Hop Weekly magazine (www.hiphopweekly.com). Digitally and online they are killing it! This magazine spin off from Source Magazine has been in publication for a year and is the top selling magazine in the market today!!! They have a new project called Monster, a bigger more political, Hip Hop magazine that's gonna be outta the water. Kavario is also writing a book.
please forgive me if I misspelled any of your names...

Look out for those folks and check out their websites. They are on the come up or already moved up! Give respect where respect is due!
