Senator Kasim Reed, Mayoral candidate, was thrown a classy event via "Chilli" Rozanda Thomas last night at the Atlanta mansion of entertainment attorney Charles Mathis. The former high school mates reflected on growing up as kids as well as keeping connected & still supporting each other into their successful careers. Top reality tv show contenders, VH1 was in the house taping the event including it as part of the singer's new dating/love show.

Q Parker and Cri$tyle performed "Tomorrow" duet (Tevin Campbell). It was beautiful & fitting for the event. Chef Michael Noble of "Grandmaz House" (perfect name with his southern style catering) filled everyone up on Hennessy chicken BBQ kabobs & Macaroni cup cakes (YUM!), and the entire crowd watched as Floyd Mayweather, who flew in from Vegas just for his "home-girl", and Chilli hugged and spoke endlessy throughout the night. Oooh weee! Do the other suitors in her new reality show even have a chance?! We will see. I'm not sure if Floyd being there and acting extra lovey toward our hostess of the evening was a TV move OR sincere. It looked real to me. He was very comfortable & it's obvious that the two are indeed great friends if nothing else. I enjoyed their candor. But if they are to get together Floyd would have to step it. He's known to be a bit of a playboy and Chilli isn't having any of that. She's mature and knows what she wants. And i'm about done with everyone saying they wish she would re-unie with Usher post Tameka. Just because they used to date doesn't mean it's the best idea NOW. Plus you see her right? ANY man has to come with his "A" game. Your girl is BAAAAD! Oww owww.

Finally my friends half of the race is over. Hill, even with her dirty tactics wasn't able to win America over. So yes nice guys don't finish last and good prevails over evil. While i'm super joyed that Obama won the Democratic Nomination (WOOHOOO!) I want to ask the world, do you think he'll win the ultimate title, President of the United States? It's all in the hands of the voters and ultimately the hand of God.

but wait...
that did happen...
some of us voted, and it didn’t change anything...

we were in the dark...
we had no voice...
we were powerless...

because America was not a united America...
and "they" spoke a different language...
and they had an agenda different from our well being...

correct me if I’m wrong... or speak up if I’m missing something...

we want education, health, safety, and good jobs...right???...
oh yeah...
and "a healthy planet to live on"...

but here we are...

in a war... poor education... poor health programs... the dollar is down... the planet, polluted...
the rich, richer... and the poor, struggling...
with sky high gas prices to top it all off...

and now even the rich aren't really rich internationally because our dollar is has fallen so far down...

in our slumber... a very small few got really rich...

because when you’re sleeping...

"it’s hard to change agendas"...

we know what happened in 2000 and 2004...
but in 2008...
it’s different...

we are awake...
and there is a movement...

Obama looses Pennsylvania AND declines another debate with Clinton...good look on that one Obama.

Hillary on the attack. Darling...I think it's time for you to close your mouth a little with the dirt throw-up coming out of it.

Predictably, Obama lost the Pennsylvania primary. But we already knew he would. While the win infuses Clinton’s redlining campaign with much needed cash, it does nothing for her chances overall. She still has no hope of beating Barack Obama in August unless there is foul play involved.

Obama’s camp realizes that and has decided not to play footsies with Clinton anymore. Obama turned down an offer from CBS to debate Clinton on Sunday after “60 Minutes.” Clinton sorely needs this debate to push forward her hateful agenda, but Obama doesn’t need it. The Democratic nomination is already in the bag.

Obama spokesman Dan Leistikow said this of Clinton’s chances of debating Obama: “Their attacks indicate they are really not looking for a debate, but any forum to continue their negative, throw-the-kitchen-sink campaign.”
The above views are from popular blogger, Sandra Rose. She has good insight on this situation in my opinion.

I myself say also that losing Pen should not matter. I am pulling faithfully still for Obama. And as far as the decline goes, let me tell you the man is not perfect, he is flawed but in his lack of perfection he has a decency and a humility about him that far outweighs Hillary's simple kindergarten tactics. Plus Obama has a great marriage (again i am not saying perfect) that is built on trust and respect unlike The Clinton's and that says something. Obama has class. Enough said by me.

They say that behind every good man is a good woman. In the case of Barack and Michelle Obama I truly believe that. They seem to really be in love and have tremendous respect and trust for each other. I love a relationship that is mature and honest. Look how enamored he is with her and how proud she is of him! I hope as women (out there) that we are delighted by men (if you want marriage that is) that God would choose himself to care for us and that as women we treat those wonderful men with honor and grace.

The 1st African American governor of New York: David Paterson!

I just want to give a happy shout to the 1st African American governor of New York: David Paterson! Not only is he the 1st black governor of New York but he's the 8th ever black governor in American history! Mr. Paterson seems to be a pleasant and well received man whose time has just come. I am praying he does well. It means so much not only for New York but our country. Who would have imagined that our country would get to a place that blacks are considered able to lead by the general population. I do not say this to be negative but to be real. Racism took captive the mind of many and turned them into fools to base a humans rights, acceptance, worth and leadership abilities off of the pigmentation of skin. And of which the beholder has none control over such birth sets determined by God Himself. David Paterson for sure is fallible because he is just a man, but i'm glad he is a black man!

This victory comes after the shocking scandals of prostitution and misuse of funds lead by former New York governor Eliot Spitzer. And I am not making this a black and white thing because any man or woman has and can mess up. But I'm saying that God has a way of working things out however. The big apple suffered momentarily over the discovery and demise of Spitzer and his dark secrets, Spitzer resigned and in came David Patterson, the legally blind new governor who ran for Lt. Governor two years previous. Now how is that for God using one with "imperfections" and obstacles to run things! 1 Corinthians 1:26-29. Go God!

And yes this happens to the best of us during a lengthy speech but it's super bad when you are sitting in plain view behind the speaker and your wife is running for office...against a black man...Dayum! Hillary Clinton on the Tyra Banks show to air this Friday

Female presidential hopeful, Hillary Rodham Clinton taped an episode with the Tyra Banks show recently. The special episode is set to air on Friday. Hillary is trying to smartly get publicity and appeal to female voters and of course Tyra's "followers". I like Hill, but I hope Barack Obama is going to get the win. :)

Anyhow during the Clinton and Banks show interview, the democratic candidate discussed the emotional moment she had with voters on the eve of the New Hampshire primary, her recent comments about Martin Luther King Jr. that helped push the issue of race to the forefront of the campaign against Obama, and tells viewers that if she had to choose a reality show to be on, it would be, Dancing with the Stars over American Idol since she can't sing. She also said that being on America's Top Model, would be something she can only dream about. Oh...so Hillary thinks she can dance? Or is it just that dancing is the lessor of the two evils? Who knows...but she's making press.

Ophrah's Obama party brings in $3 Million!

There were 1,500 paying/donating guests at $2,300 a ticket so the $3 Million dollar effort doesn't come to a surprise. The Oprah campaign for Obama was a huge success with the legendary Stevie Wonder performing, a high class picnic style menu (mini burgers, corn on the cob, etc.) and tight fisted security. I hear it was bedazzling and lovely. In Ophrah's introduction to Barak Obama she said, "nobody can stand in the way of destiny." The hostess of ceremonies also stated that Obama gives her something to be actively engaged in for the election. I think if Oprah can make the sales of ANY book, company, or product double/triple, etc. from one word of approval from her mouth then Barak Obama will become president. I already thought he had a huge chance but now it's in the bag. 2008's presidential election is going to be very exciting and i predict the most historical and heavily participated election of this sort of all man kind.

It's good to have Oprah as a political support

This Saturday it's going down at Oprah Winfrey's Montecito, California estate. And ya know what?? You are NOT invited. Well unless you have $2,300 to donate to the campaign that is. The Super Duper, "da da da da da daaaaaaaaaaa" Barack Obama PARTY! The $2,300 ticket entry fee is THE max you can get in primary giving per person. Some celebrities who are not even attending are going to donate to the campaign! If Barack didn't know yet, he knows now, it's good to be a friend of Oprah. Now i gotta figure out some diabolical plan to make us as close as sisters. Who knows maybe I'll learn how to train dogs to bark in Spanish and do the tango and become a guest on her show.

So the Oprah Obama party will be attended by Stevie Wonder and gospel singer BeBe Winans who will perform. A sample of invited guests include, Will Smith, John Travolta, Jamie Foxx and the newly with child (as they said back in the olden days) Halle Berry. That sounds like a lot of O's favorite people. She's only missing Tom Cruise or Alicia Keys or that really cute, single (I have suspicions about that) designer, decorator guy (dang his name is on the tip of my tounge...Nate or something, maybe) she keeps inviting back to her show.

The word is that O and O got to bonding (in a platonic way people!) in 2005 during a flight from Chicago to Houston to visit folks displaced by Hurricane Katrina. Ok, Ok. Neat.

According to Newsweek Magazine, one of Oprah’s closest friends, producer Quincy Jones, will not attend the affair because he is hosting a similar fund raiser for Obama’s Democratic rival Hillary Clinton at the home of Magic Johnson on Sept. 14. Wow! But Mr. Jones, while building up how incredible the party is going to be said, "There is no competition here". I think he meant that in a, "It's all good" way. Dang Q, a shindig for Hil C? He always did love white women. Calm down folk, just kidding. True YES, but kidding.
