The hips don't lie and neither do the grades for Latin/Columbian sexy singer Shakira. The 30 year old belly dancing maven has been taking a class at the University of California, Los Angeles, called "Introduction to Western Civilization: Ancient Civilizations from Prehistory to Circa A.D. 843" for the past month. Her manager Fifi Kurzman told the AP of the pop singer who put out her first album at age 14 that after she finished her tour she began her studies.
Robert Cleve the professor of Shakira's class said he hadn't known she was a celebrity during the course and was shocked to learn so. "She told me she was visiting from Colombia and that she was just doing this for her own enlightenment and enjoyment," Cleve said. "She looked like just an ordinary student. She wasn't flamboyant ... she didn't act like a big celebrity or anything." He also said that she would often discuss class topics with him when sessions were over and was very impressed with how intelligent she was. Classes for Shakira ended Thursday. I assume her grades were high!
A little beauty, a little talent, a lotta brain and a little humble pie...one more reason to love Shakira!
