It seemed rather fast after he and Naomi Watts spent 2 years engaged that he glided by and married his co-star from his next big and controversial film. But Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams quickly got married and made a tight little family. They seemed almost like high school sweethearts. Now after 3 years together the Broke Back Mountain husband and wife put an end to their whirlwind marriage, US Weekly sourced. According to close friends their relationship had been rocky for a while and despite true attempts to work it out they thought better to quietly separate. But what is really quiet about your business in Hollywood? In the beginning the couple met and felt that they were "Soul Mates" and "Two peas in a pod" from the mouth of Heath but apparently the working schedule put a mountainous strain on the relationship. Michelle even admitted that she was having a difficult time correctly juggling work and being a new mom. The couple splits with a 2 year old (by October) daughter Matilda whose godfather is the other hunky star in Broke Back Mountain, Jake Gyllenhaal.
Fell in love because of work and split because of work. That's tough. Who knows maybe the couple will be able to work it out in some time.
